Me too. I watched a little over 4 hours of video yesterday after a full charge (brightness at 65%) and still had 61% battery left. That is far superior to my G Pad
I estimate based on video playback that I could easily get 9 hours or so of continuous high drain usage. If I turned off background features like wi-fi, gps etc, probably longer. If I dialed down brightness it would extend it too.
Very pleased with battery life on this tablet.
I got my 8.4 on Thursday. I think its a great device, but unfortunately i found a dead pixel today.
I don't rightly know if i test a second device or try the Note 10.1 2014. Does anyone noticed a dead pixel too?

It happens, return and get a replacement

First impressions of Tab Pro 8.4 in white.
Couldn't get a black one til April, so went with the white one. The front looks nice, but the back is really ugly, cheap and tacky looking - In my opinion, of course.
Build quality seems generally solid and well made, if a little on the plasticky side, but once in a case that shouldn't be a problem.
The screen is gorgeous, no complaints there so far. I would say that it is not anywhere near as bright as my Nexus 7 2013, but then again, I have that on about 25% brightness for internet use anyway.
The new launcher is quite ugly and I did see occasional lag. I have installed Nova and that seem to be playing nice with no lag that I can see. Speaking of lag, it seems to be present in places like the settings menu and the play store, I will report back once I've used it more.
After set up, and at idle, it was using 1.6GB of 1.8GB of memory, so I disabled as much of the Samsung/pre installed crap as possible (Not rooted yet) and got it down to about 1.1GB.
Can't comment on battery life/charging just yet, apart from it looks to be 6% charging per 30ish minutes.
Wifi seems to be working properly.
I put the 64GB micro SD card from my S4 in there and it detected it correctly right away and asked if I wanted to shift the camera to it. That seems to be working OK so far.
It came with 4.4.2 KOT49H.T320XXU1ANAI installed and there are no further updates available at the moment.
Overall, the impressions are positive so far, especially after the bad experience with the Note 10.1 2014 units. I will root once I am happy that there are no faults.

Returned the G Pad 8.3 for the Tab Pro 8.4. Loving the Tab. Lightweight, superb display, and fast. I had no problems with the G Pad other than I couldn't see dark scenes very well while watching movies.

The 2nd generation GPad could very well be an awesome device if they up the resolution and a faster CPU. I love the look and feel of it. Just a little out dated at this point. I will probably pick one up when V2 comes out.
Experiencing some battery oddities. Charged to 100% using the supplied charger, used the tablet for a few minutes, maybe 15-20 and then another 5 mins. Left the tablet on the table, not plugged in, and went back to it after maybe 1 hour and it was at 91%, so I plugged it into the charger and it instantly jumped to 100% fully charged! I took it off charge and it was still showing as fully charged. Restarted and still showing as 100%.
Anyone else seeing this?
Battery life is very poor, with 2 hours 20 mins using up 32% of the battery with around 30% brightness. That is actually worse than the note 10.1 2014.
another worrying issue is the noises coming from the speakers when the volume is all the way down. If I go to youtube and play a video with the volume slider at 0, I get very quiet 56k modem type chirping and squeaking from the speakers.
lag is immense when typing on the keyboard in a browser window, like when typing this, for example.
Keyboard is laggy often.
space bar sometimes doesn't respond.
top right and left corners in portrait are not very sensitive / occasionally unresponsive.
Perhaps the most irksome thing so far is how close the physical buttons are to the edge of the tablet, meaning that, if, like me, you have big hands, then landscape mode means you keep hitting the buttons with the inside of your hand when navigating web pages. hopefully a decent case will help with this.
I'll update more later.
I have not experienced a single item you listed... Battery life at 65% brightness is excellent, far better than my G Pad. I ran 4 1/2 hours of video straight (was on a plane) at 65% brightness and had roughly 60% battery left.
Screen is very responsive with no dead spots.
Sound is fine (well as best could be expected in tablet speakers. Not great but then again no one should expect that. The speakers do get quite loud though which is nice.
I have quite large hands and find the buttons to fairly unobtrusive. I find onscreen buttons to be a much bigger pain especially when using tablets for reading. This I expect would vary depending on the user and how you hold the device.
Perhaps you got a defective unit?
Going to try a few different things later, I just recreated the speaker issue again, it does it in all browsers and the youtube app, so yes, it looks like yet another faulty unit. I would rarely use the speakers really, and so to have them make sounds when they are off is not ideal. The sound with the speakers on is fine.
Did you root yours yet?

It seems that others are having the same problem:

About the way I was holding the tab, it was kind of between the base of my fingers and the soft pad of the palm of my hand, it's the only way that it is comfortable. Portrait is OK though. I should say that I do like the physical buttons, and if there was maybe another 5mm or so of bezel between the buttons and outer edge of the tablet, that would make this a non issue for me.
Did you root yours yet?
No, I'm waiting for a couple of cycles of rooting to ensure the best possible ROM.
My battery had 52% when I turned it on first. I used it all night (from about 3pm-9pm) and plugged it in with 12% left. I'll test it tonight and see what sort of screen on time I get.Early thoughts on the battery life for the 8.4?
That looks like the only weak point on the specs sheet.
if anything, it's very little. maybe a few milliseconds when moving from app to app while using the default launcher. Honestly I didn't even know until someone here pointed it out.
well after more of a go with my 8.4 Pro - some comments
(1) nice screen - very sharp - and I seem quite lucky with this particular screen as very even backlight
(2) sound quality from headphone jack - as reviews suggested excellent - as good as my Note 3 /Ipad4/3
...
(4) minor one - lock screen - whats with the vertical "pixelated" bars as you swipe ?looks deliberate - but "rubbish"
