This is strange.My baseband version is still NB3 after kitkat update.And wi-fi cant be enabled.Anyone facing this issue?

your data will get lost but yeah, but i wouldn't wipe preload cause i'm not sure if it's safe to wipe it (available in twrp from f4k)

That's the reason why you don't want KNOX?
That can easily be removed
maybe they also consume ram

Not much of a report; I just didn't find a single error/bug.
- The Apps drawer SS is a new way of displaying the apps.
- There are some settings a little more detailed.
- The new camera button on the lockscreen (SS before).
- The GPS Toggle change to Location.
- And obviously, the White status bar icons.
- Hmm.. seems you can't hide apps anymore from the drawer...

I can't turn on WiFi.
3G mobile data works well.
Any idea, why the WiFi toggle doesn't work?

WiFi now works and KitKat is ROOTED!

what's the root method ? you have done a flash of CWM via Odin .....and tried the RootkitV2 ????????
Everything works fine from the first flash.first from cwm I format everything system/data/ internal SD,( just in case)then flash through Odin and again i reboot in download mode flash cwm then reboot into recovery and flash root kit v2 the method for root is same for 4.2.2 from arco68 thread,work for me.and finally i let the phone for the first boot .in the first boot the phone it's not so smooth and the response is slow but in the end everything works fine(including nfc) .the rest is well-known delete Samsung apps Knox hub..........and the phone begin to breath. For now am in stock kernel to see if there's any changes.

ROOT method: CF-Auto-Root (use google [emoji4])
CM11 (or Kitkat in general?) seems to have a problem with accessing apps on the SDcard. How about this behaviour in this new 4.4.2?

I can say that it's the new launcher, not completely, but it's there! I didn't install anything
As I can see till now, the long wait was totally worth it. The overheating has been dramatically decreased; therefore the battery drain problem also has been fixed. Samsung did some great job right here. All that is bothering me is that the text in the lockscreen is a little bigger than the 4.2.2 and you can't hide apps. You can uninstall them directly from the drawer just like 2.3.6 and you can also disable them (I guess it's like freezing). The phone is much faster than it was and the System took pretty much the same memory as it had taken on 4.2.2. There isn't the career branding, only an app called 'Hello!', but i uninstalled it. There aren't any SD Card problems. I heavily recommend updating to 4.4.2.
