Are you talking about the 7.0 release or the new nightly? I am using 7.0 and SMS backup & restore did not save a backup it actually said no new contacts to backup, I am also using Claro PR variant D801/D803.

There are 2 versions for Sms backup and restore, one specifically for KK and another that is for JB and compatible with KK, I am using the version for JB and compatible with KK, but also tried Super backup Pro as well, it also made a backup with 0 sms and 0 contacts and 0 mms, but that is a backup of nothing.

Also tried backup your mobile and it actually kept FC so it didn't even work.

I see others are also having problems so, apparently it's not working correctly for some models and mine is one of the models it isn't working correctly for.

I get my messages with no problems with basic app that comes with AICP 7.0 but cannot backup.

I only see one version of SMS backup and restore. I'm on version 7.21 of that with 7.0 release and it works flawlessly as it always has.

Ok updated to latest nightly and using latest sms backup and restore 7.21and still not backing up my messages.

Still has the sms bug where I can't send pics I lose data when trying to do that have to go back to 10/6

Found out what the problem is with saving backups with any backup app, it is that stupid privacy guard crap, pleeaassee change that to an uninstallable app so I can get rid of the piece of crap.

That probably won't happen, but you could stop it from blocking newly installed apps specifically.

Android 5.0 sounds great, I have tried many ROMs and AICP seems to be the best in compatibility to my D803 with options I most prefer, so seeing an Android 5.0, I think it will be tops.

Hello,

Just a quick question. The gapps version is 4.4.2

Rom is 4.4.4

So can I flash the linked gapps? Or flash a 4.4.4 gapps.

    What is AICP?
    AICP is known by someone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since than evolved as a mature rom with the BEST community you can find!!!

    What's Broken:




    ROMS
    ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy JB. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
    You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.



    How to flash:

    • Don't do it if you don't know it
    • ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes

    I thought I would share with everyone using AICP my TWRP builds:)

    this is version 2.8.0.0
    credit for twrp goes to @Dees_Troy
    also some credit to @dr87 for his automatic panel detection and sharing his sources
    I would also like to Thank @Snuzzo for his contributions to our kernel

    This has the same thermal protection as AICP, so this recovery should run nice and cool
    also included DT2W
    This uses the same kernel as AICP

    these TWRP builds are for the d800. d801, d802, d803, ls980, vs980
