Is the phone you put the Zagg on AT&T or TMobile?

---------- Post added at 08:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:45 PM ----------

I think what we're learning is different carriers are using different screens. The Bear Motion fits on Verizon without a halo but not on Sprint.

This is a T-Mobile Note 4. Root AND no halo ftw!

Hi guys ... Will tempered glass stick to my screen if the screen it's a little curved like in this picture ... Anybody else has this problem?
Can't go by this because of depth of field. Green line is off on the left side over the bezel. Not even close. To this method is a no go. Frustrating we all know. I'm on board the screens aren't manufactured consistently.

Halo is a 1mm to 4mm area of the devices screen that wont allow glass protectors to adhear to the devices screen due to the manufacturers 2.D bezel.

It basically looks like the glass cover is lifted and can be lifted. This has been given the name "halo" by the interwebz society.

It appears as some devices have more halo when the same glass company is installed.
This is believed that some debri dirt etc can get in there over time (confirmed by me with 2 weeks of use in my pocket )

This area that does not adhear can be pushed down with force and apears to seal when pressure is removed the glass lifts up.

It does effect S-View

I'm going to wait and use a quality traditional type protector as also concerned about if the Samsung flip will close properly.

I have the Bear Motion tempered glass protector.

I can confirm that it does cause the S-view to not close completely by about 1/8 inch. Not a big deal for me as I am sick of this S-View. I have come to hate the flap. I can't wait to find a good case to replace it.

I have the att note 4. Here is what I have tried so far.

1 Bear Motion- didn't fit so good horrible halo

2 Bear Motion revised- fit great still bad halo

3 Zagg glass-fit flawless halo on edges

4 Zagg revised. I know it was revised as it was sent from zag. Fit perfect a little less halo but still there.

5 supershieldz horrible halo

6 Spartan glass- this is what's on my phone now. It's deff shorter then the others and has very slight halo on the edges. Not very noticible at all. I will be keeping this on for a while. These are pics of the Spartan. Note this has only been installed for 10 minutes so it might get better who knows! 1415486397238.jpg1415486417892.jpg1415486429606.jpg

I am wondering if AT&T models have more curvature than other models? My Zero Lemon halo is huge. I've read where others' are tolerable or not so bad. It was a good install and the Hal is consistent all the way around. The above poster has had a lot if halo action on att phone as well. Thoughts?

From the pictures others have posted of Zerolemon installs every picture has had by far the largest halo I've seen.

I have the Ultimate Shield Tempered Glass for my Note 4 SM-N910F (International). With it being my first tempered glass protector, I didn't know about this whole halo effect, so I've been rather critical about it's terrible fit.

I'm assuming my fit is probably as good as it's going to get then? There isn't any halo at least...

Ive thought about it. But with sprint....is it jus
"Hey id like to exchange my phone"

And the process would make me regret it.
And might end up qith halo again.

I decided to grab Tech Armor's Ballistic glass protector on Amazon, thankfully it's not one that overhangs the curve. I have to wait until Saturday for my Spigen Tough Armor to show up and see how well they look together.

But so far, no complaints. The glass covers the sensors and front camera, but doesn't impede their function at all from what I've tested.

Numerous people here in Australia have been fitting a screen protector with NO HALO or other issues .
But as we all know it can only do that by covering the 'screen" area which Does NOT include the Bezel area.
The "Screen" and "Bezel" are 2 different things !! ( even though they are 1 covering piece of glass). I doubt even iloome will be able to build 1 that fits on the N4 the same as they did for the iphone 6 for a number of reasons I wont elaborate on here.

The one people are using is this-
Nillkin Amazing H+ Anti-Explosion Tempered Glass Screen Protector
I see a few people a 1/2 dozen or so pages back in this thread are also using this SP.

Here are some pictures of the Nillkin Amazing H+ Tempered Glass that is applied on my Note 4

As you can see, it doesn't cover the entire screen area because can only stick to the flat side of the screen to prevent getting the halo effect around the curved edges. You may not like the end result because it sort of becomes a 'double curved edge' glass LOL! But with the case on, its not too bad. The 2.5D curved finish on the Nillkin does help make swiping easier edge to edge and will not hinder the use of home button/finger print scanner. The glass itself is thin enough despite being 0.3mm thick.

If you have a white Note 4, the glass may not be as obvious as with the black Note 4.

In terms of screen clarity, its a 100% to my eyes. It doesn't seem to create glare. I was using it in the sun or directly underneath bright LED lighting, it didn't bother me. The 'finger feel' is exactly like the original screen. There's an oleophobic coating and you get that 'oily smooth' feel. Feels exactly like real glass, knocks like real glass too. Have been using it for the entire day, happy to report it doesn't collect finger print or grease at all. Minimal face oil after a long phone call but a simple wipe in the pants pocket and its crystal clear again.

Overall I'm very happy with the Nillkin. Makes me think what additional benefits the more expensive brands like Spigen bring to the table. Or maybe with time, the vendors could bring a full 100% coverage solution.

I thought post 178 showed that the tech armor glass was ok. I was about to order one as the one i bought from "redpeppercase" on ebay was mentioned that it left a halo all around.

Perhaps he didn't get the same TS that I did? They have 3 versions. Perhaps I got a rare good one? Perhaps he just hates TS as he didn't post pics of it being "junk"? Who knows...
Mine is still working perfectly, I've even gotten used to the gap between it and my case (Spigen ToughArmor), well, until Iloome's curved version is released anyways.
Here's some more pics of it, pardon the crappy lighting.

Here is my reply from a Bear Motion vendor on amazon. For less than $10 you bet I'm buying one.
