The goods and bads of SlimLP
The goods
The overall experience is very good, phone runs faster, ROM starts faster. No FC for me. No sudden reboots.
GPS is working for me and stay on for 2h30min without losing signal.
Sound is pretty better for me.
The bads
No exFAT support for sdcards (yet).
The omnipresent white material interface. "Old" notification are black but new are white... Arg!
Freezes occur at random. Sometimes after being working 2-4h without issues. Maybe due to change conditions: WiFi being turned off, for instance.
At this moments, nothing works, not even the hardware buttons.
Some harware dependent apps stop working, for instance, Smart Cover Lite (the proximity sensor seems to be "broken").
What I miss
All the Slim options
Battery icon, PIN numbers scramble, sleep time scheduling, etc.
I can't live without some of them and I'm getting irritated with the 2-step (slider + PIN) to unlock the phone.

About " Slim is Dead "
I put this Posting in the OP and change the Thread Titel so all can read it and i hope this stops the asking and the Questions.
We read in the last weeks many times questions, statements, about SlimRoms when it goes on or is Slim Dead.
To clear it.
We write in the last weeks many Times taht we have a lot of changes done, Team Intern , Personnel, software, hardware. These are all things that need time / have needed. Completed about 90% of the process.
People ask why nothing happens in the Gerrit.
We changed the whole system and you can find the Gerrit now here

please note, the HP is under construction and not finished.
You can be sure , SlimRoms is anything but just not dead,, many things need a lot of time, I would like and can no release date call for the next update, but I can say that it will not be long.

SlimRoms is a custom android operating system. The main goal is to offer users a slimmed down but still feature rich alternative to other android operating systems.
The entire SlimTeam work together to bring you this tailor-made beauty straight from Android Open Source Project (AOSP) source code.
All of the sources can be publicly viewed through GitHub and you can stop by the public Gerrit to submit patches of any type.

A few words about the current standing. It was Christmas , New-Year , Holiday Time. After this we had to do in the last few weeks some organizational, server relocation, team structures, and more. Most of it is done. Pending Weekly's are started I will post a new build Sunday evening an Official Build upload. Sunday 01-February. I Post the DL Link in the Thread and here in the OP.
Let's hope we can start Weeklys in 1-2 Weeks. Thats the plan.

Q) How can i change the DPI and whats the Stock Default DPI
A) DPI Settings coming soon , you can use textdroider_dpi from Playstore https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.texdroider.texdroider_dpi&hl=de , this works fine. Default Stock DPI is 480.
Q) A few Settings like Disable Blacklight Keys and more are missing .
A) All features you know from 4.3 will come back from time to time , for now you can use Xposed in combination with Gravity Box.

Q) Is ART stable to use ?
A)Test it for your self , remember that ART is in an early phase
Q) Can i restore my apps with Titanium Backup coming from another Rom ?
A) Yes you can , remember " Don't restore System Apps "
Q) What for a Recovery is recommanded ?
A) I use TWRP 2.6.3.1 http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2468187 and it works fine , you can use the official CWM Recovery too.
Q ) There is no Theme Chooser in the Rom ?
A ) For now we use no Theme Chooser, you can use HK ThemeManager, it does the same and more

About next Alpha Build. There are some things to fix before the next Build come out. It makes no sense to push a build when we know about some issues, all in the team working hard on lollipop.
I have to work now this week, after this week i have holidays, i look that i find this week some time, on Thursday i work only a half day , if not and nick found no time then in my holidays. Before Christmas time always a lot work that i will finish before i go to holidays.
I never forget the S4 thread and you guys and i do my best to make you happy soon with a new Build.
