actually what i did on note 4 was

go into galaxy apps > search for sns provider and updated it

please if you can try that


I do not see galaxy apps in my app drawer. I can find it in my application manager, but I'm only able to turn it on or off there. Tried searching for galaxy apps in Google play, no such luck.

SSO not working...

Same here Note 4. Factory Reset. Updated all, still not able to sync SSO with Facebook :D

Single Sign On Error

I am facing the same problem with my Note 2. Im in spore btw. Its driving me crazy as im unable to sync into the calendar. Hope with the new updates or so; this can be fix.

Ok think I might have figured something out for the s5, I went to galaxy essentials in the app drawer and menu button at the top right corner of the drawer. Then just search for "sns" and sns provider popped up' I clicked on it and then it showed update and it worked for me!! Hope this helps

The cause is an outdated Samsung SNS provider. After updating it to the latest version in Galaxy Apps, it will work.
That fixed it. I couldn't understand why it was fin on my note 2 but that's got a custom rom and all the apps are updated and I couldn't get my recently reset stock Note 3 to connect, jeesh. Seems so silly, thanks bro! Fixed issue with Twitter and FB.
If you don't have the stock samsung apps or galaxy app store you will have some trouble. First sign in to your samsung account, then open samsung apps (which will upgrade to Galaxy apps) or Galaxy apps if you already have it updated, slide out the side menu and go down to the menu item called "Purchased". You will have 2 tabs, one for updates and one for All, SNS provider will be under updates, at least this is what happened for me!

The only way I know to get to GALAXY Apps is through the GALAXY Essentials widget. Put the widget on your home screen and then tap it. Then you can tap on the button that says "More from Samsung GALAXY Apps". After that you will be able to search for "SNS Provider" and update it.

I can access to the galaxy Apps by the application and throught the galaxy essential, but i can't find anything related to sns provider on it.

I have a note 3. Received a new phone in mail as I broke mine. I had galaxy apps on my old phone.. now I can not download it from Samsung site.. I am having same issues as reported.

Running kitkat

Have a S5. Samsung apps are not disabled. Cannot find anywhere to update them. Looked in play store - not listed. No option on any menu to update. Search for SNS in play store - nothing listed. Is there a manual update on some menu? Thanks.

There is a samsung web page on how to update the sns application if it's not listed or shown on your phone or in the play store. Unfortunately this forum doesn't allow someone to post web links until you post at least 10 times so I can't share it. Silly admins.

I don't find it in galaxy apps. Can u send me the link u mentioned for people who don't find it.

Same problem here for my GT-S630 Samsung young,
Samsung apps or Galaxy apps are not listed in app drawer,
So how will I update SNS?Is there any app that can do the work like Samsung Update on the google play?
The only SNS I see is in settings/apps where there is no update option available

This worked for me

Some people are like me and need detailed directions.

1. Use touchwiz launcher
2. Go to widgets (go to a blank park of your homescreen and press down for a few seconds and it'll pop up).
3. Add the "Android Essentials" Widget to one of your homescreens.
4. Go in and hit the search icon and type in "sns".
5. Scroll down until you see it and hit update. Boom

Facebook single sign on

I am having exactly the same problem. Any help will be very appreciated!

1. Select Galaxy Apps from Application list.
galaxy app

2. Search for "SNS Provider" application. If it is not the latest version, the Update mark will appear.
update

3. After checking the version, please update the SNS provider.

Once finished these go to > Settings> personalization>accounts>facebook>sync with your device

    Someone please help. I am having this issue on my Samsun Galaxy Note 3 with KitKat. I've tried everything that has been suggested but either I'm doing something wrong or I'm blind. I don't have a galaxy app store or either of the widgets that have been mentioned. I can't fine the sns provider and have been unable to sync Facebook since January. I don't know what else to do.

    If you have a phone through Verizon I can confirm this is an issue. I spent several hours over the last few days trying to figure out how to fix this. According to Samsung, as of this past December they discontinued the Samsung Hub in favor of the new GALAXY Apps store. Also, as of January when the most recent OTA updates from Verizon went through, they apparently discontinued service for the Samsung Apps store. Couple these two things together and if you had a phone from back then and never upgraded they Samsung Apps store in the window between those two events then you're stuck. I contacted both Samsung and Verizon support about this issue and that was basically the sentiment that I got from both of them. In fact the support person I chatted with pretty much directly told me that there was no way to get the GALAXY Apps store through Verizon. Although, oddly enough, the person recommended me taking my phone to Best Buy claiming they could do the necessary update.... The folks from Verizon were completely unaware of this issue at all.

    Also I have found that I cannot get the app through Samsung's website. No matter what route I take to try to get to the Samsung Apps store I get redirected to the Samsung home page promoting the S6...

    I did, however, finally find a method that worked. So if you have a phone and you don't have the GALAXY Apps store, or the widget, and you can't find it through other means this might work for you.

    1. Go to Setting>>Application manager>>All and look for an app called TouchWiz. On my phone there was more than one and the one I needed was TouchWiz Home. Open it and at the top of the description check the Version number. The number needs to be at least 4.4.2.
    2. Go to this thread and go to the latter half of the first post. You're looking for the line that says "Note 4 Galaxy Apps Widget (full trasparent)". Click on the button below that reads "CLICK TO SHOW CONTENTS". Below the image that pops up is a link to download an .apk file that is the GALAXY Apps Widget. Download and install this file.
    3. Find a spot on one of your home screens with a 4 tile wide by 2 tile tall opening and press and hold there. Select Apps and Widgets, go to Widgets, and scroll till you find the widget labeled GALAXY Apps.
    4. After placing the widge, tap on the part that says "Essentials".
    5. In the window that opens, down at the bottom, should be a bar labeled "More from Samsung GALAXY Apps". Tap that.
    6. You'll probably see a couple of apps install and once that is done, click the search icon in the upper right, type in SNS, and hit search.
    7. Scroll down through the list until you see the item labeled SNS Provider. It should have UPDATE next to it in blue letters. (For me it was the 6th item in the list)
    8. Once that finishes, go back to Setting>>Accounts and go to your FB/Twitter accounts and re-enable/re-sync them and all should be right with the world after that.

    glad I popped in here. I had Galaxy apps and Samsung account disabled (because I honestly never saw a reason to leave them running on the phone) and as many others here, had the SSO error from facebook. after re-enabling those 2 "apps" I went to the galaxy apps store, searched for SNS, and (surprisingly) the fourth option down was SNS Update. SSO error immediately went away after the update was applied

    I don't think it's a facebook error. Twitter is also unable to SSO with the galaxy app. I am pretty sure it's a Lolipop bug.
