I just flashed it to just now... but no problems with calling. I made a call and it works fine. Try re-flashing but do full wipes like 3 times

Weird, that's what I always do. Factory reset x3, flash rom, wipe cache/dalvik x3.

I figured maybe wiping the cache/dalvik might help, so I did that and somehow everything got wiped. I hit reboot and twrp said "no os installed, are you sure you want to reboot?" Sure enough, I was stuck in a bootloop.

Booted back into recovery, factory reset x3, flashed rom again, same problem. Can't make calls. The md5 matched, so I dunno. I guess I can try downloading again...

If you read through the posts you find the same issue has been discussed, corrected and a fix has been made hope that helps

Sorry, I didn't have time to read through the thread. She was having problems with the phone so I finally convinced her to let me root it and install a custom rom, and we had a lot of stuff to do last night so I made a quick post hoping to get some help.

Anyway, I searched the thread and found the zip, haven't flashed it yet because she's going crazy with the customizations, lol. Will flash when she's done and report back.

I love this ROM, but the Sleep Of Deaths are killing me.
Seeder did actually seem to help. I used to get a SOD every day, but after installing Seeder I can often go a week+ without one.
Then today I have had 6!! UGH! @sbreen94, any luck on tracking down the culprit? Do you get the SODs on your device?

You most likely should be able to flash it on your device, i don't know about network compatability, so make sure to backup first

Holy mother of god!!!

Jesus was this a problem to flash! I spent exactly 11 hours and finally got it. I was running Tekxodus v4.2, but was having some weird sound issues so I thought I'd try this new HyperDrive ROM cause I've always been a big HyperDrive fan.

After spending many hours trying to get a successful first boot, I stopped being lazy and downloaded Stock BOD7 (as all the other folks said I needed to do). It took FOREVER! Well I got BOD7 flashed, but still kept getting stuck at "optimizing apps." Then I realized this ROM was based on BOG2 and I saw the post that said I should download that instead of BOD7. Silly me.... I spent another 4 or 5 hours to get BOG2 downloaded and flashed via Odin. Still, it kept getting stuck at right around 206 of 211 apps (aaaaaarggghhh).

What finally worked at literally "The Eleventh Hour" was to let the apps optimize while my phone was chilling between two 3 pound foodsaver bags of my frozen homemade tomato sauce. I sh*t you not!!! That worked. This was the only way I could get all 211 apps "Optimized."

Sure. I could've quit at any time and settled for a different ROM, but I don't like to let software kick my arse.

Now that I'm finally in, Yes. This is a great ROM, but man-oh-man-a-ree-nee... what a hassle to get it flashed.... Of course I'm doing a NAND. I figured since I had some time to kill while waiting on it to finish, it might be helpful to someone else for me to share my experience. Hope ya'll got some frozen tomato sauce handy... LOL

Should have quit. I tried this when it came out and a result my battery soon gave out from the heat damage. I also did the cold trick which is just stupid.

The RiverRom is much better, no optimization issues and Xposed and the Wanam app work pretty well.

You'll see anytime you clear your cache in recovery the phone will reoptimize and the you have to chill it again. Not good on your battery life in the end because of this. Also who knows what the heating or for that matter the chilling which causes condensation inside the phone does to the internal components.

I believe this is both the lack of true software support from Samsung, as well as the decline of Qualcomm yet again. Let's be honest.

The real reason the snapdragon 810 was such a mess was because they were counting on all that Samsung money to come their way.

Same thing happened with the s1 and s2 snapdragon chips. They were terrible with battery life and lagged like hell, then Samsung put their s3&s4 chips in their US variants, which gave them revenue to improve, then we got the SD600 & 800. Good chips for the most part.

Then the 805 was the last in their line of 32-bit ARM processors, and the last to use their own design (krait). From the 808-on they finally used ARM's design, using big.LITTLE architecture.

Since they design phones about a year out from release, that would mean QCOM knew about this massive dip in orders from one of the largest smartphone manufacturers.

SD805 was released at end of 2014, before the jump to 64-bit, knowing full well they won't have the resources to develop a competent chip, esp with their transition to ARM's standards.

Essentially, it would have been worlds better had they used an Exynos chip rather than QCOM SD. Considering the size of the note 4/edge, they could have soldered an LTE modem to the MOBO.

yeah, as just a user ive noticed that my phone is ****ing up more and more recently. Seeder went a long way to help but its still not perfect.

So true. Today after I was getting freaky behavior with my phone calls (meaning, I would get a message saying the phone wasn't available, but I could make and receive calls), I cleared the cache then flashed Xposed v78 because I could never get a successful boot with v74 or 75. After I performed these two actions, I got that optimization bug again. I tried 3 or 4 times but even chilling it didn't get me past 203 of 240 optimized apps. So I gave up and flashed RiverRom. My phone still gets hot but at least it will boot (which is a fundamental requirement for any device). LOL!!!

I can understand the concern about the cooling issue because as a long-time computer tech, I know it is very dangerous for a CPU to be subjected to extreme changes in temperature in a short amount of time.

Switched to riverrom. Couldnt take this anymore. Riverrom is so silky smooth for a daily driver. It is barely moddable but thats ok.

and i want to do a maybe not clever question , do i have to root my phone first or i just flash the new ;;

Good morning friend I don't know your situation in detail but let me be clear if you're going to do any flashing your phone must be rooted it gives you access to the files you don't have permission to, to be able to tell the phone that it is allowed to accept this custom software
