  • Download "Android Terminal Emulator" from the Market.
  • In Terminal Emulator, type:

busybox grep -E "^[0-9]{8}$" /efs/nv_data.bin
  • Or maybe:

busybox strings /efs/nv_data.bin | busybox grep -E "^[0-9]{8}$"
  • The code is 8 digits. You'll see it 2+ times. If you still can't see it, you can just try eyeballing it:

busybox strings /efs/nv_data.bin
(it should be after the text "SSNV", 8 digits, repeated 2x)
  • While you're there, copy the file to your SD card in case you need it later:

(internal storage)
busybox cp /efs/nv_data.bin /sdcard

(external microSD)
busybox cp /efs/nv_data.bin /sdcard/sd
