Uninstalling as soon as I can download a new rom...computer battery dying...without charger...out of town. This rom is going to kill me until I can get back home unless I can somehow get a new rom downloaded and transferred before my computer dies.

Chrome doesn't work
Pandora freezes/crashes
Video recorder crashes as soon as I try to record

And I haven't even gotten to use it much due to how busy I've been. All I know is the phone has been extremely slow at times, crashing constantly, etc. Hopefully the next rom will work out better.

dont blame the rom. its all on your end. no one else is reporting these issues. for battery life flash stock kernel its posted in this thread. you obviously didnt wipe correctly or something.

This isn't my first rom install.

As far as the battery goes, you should re read as you didn't interpret properly

there is no need to come into a rom thread and blame it for app issues on your end. bottom line. idc if its not your first rom flash. even the best **** up. i suggest flashing back stock since troubleshooting. if your not going back to 100% stock then redoing then you have no room to talk about the rom causing your issues. simply put.

Again, you and your assumptions. I installed it 3x. All 3x had the same exact problems. I've since recovered my back up some the rom was buggy as hell. A wick search leads me to believe there is something wrong with the latest version and the 2.25b was a more stable version.

right and was a baseband change between version. you need to tar factory wipe from factory recovery. then reflash your rom. why your having issues. ive only helped countless members fix issues. but i guess its my assumption enjoy the other rom. you dont need to be here goodbye.

Here's what I did:
TWRP wipe (factory wipe)
Installed rom

When that produced a buggy experience:
TWRP advanced wipe, didn't wipe internal or external sd, the rest was wiped (could be I didn't wipe internal? )
Installed rom

And again, tried:
Same as last but rebooted after wipe and then installed.

All produced same result.

thats your issue. you need to tar flash nk4. from stock recovery wipe device. flash stock tar again wipe again. then odin recovery of choice and flash rom. removing sd card for the tar flash. you leaving data behine why your apps are crashing. countless users will agree you need to wipe from stock recovery. boot up check download mode. when it says samsung official. you know phones clean. when it says custom you have crap left over. power doen before odin flashes as well.and yes you need to wipe internal. that is the issue. when i upgrade bases i do a full sd wipe as well. backing up valuable items first then dragging over after.

I dunno man. I think he has a point,

I tar flashed NK4 awhile ago and the latest version of the ROM didn't sit well with me either. I hated the battery life.
It's Version 2.25b for me.

Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse but is anyone still experiencing problems with calls not waking up the phone when the screen is off?
I'm on call this weekend for my work and cannot afford to miss any calls.

Thanks for keeping this ROM shiny and updated, freeza!
Did you figure out the issue? I just came back to this ROM after trying CM12 for a while and then again I am having the same issue that I was having before. Whenever I get a call and the screen is off it rings for a second and then it stops, when I go to check who called theres no trace of any call.

Nope, but I moved on to AT&T and a Note 4 as well.
Best of luck to you.

I think that's why I ended up moving to CM12, because I kept missing calls on this ROM. Im going to do a factory reset, test the incoming calls and reinstall my apps one by one and see whats causing the issue

No disrespect intended but are you doing a full wipe x3 (not sd card) before you install? I've been running this version full time since it dropped and have a small issue here or there but never any missed calls.

Yeah. I think the problem must have been reinstalling a specific app with Titanium Backup. but could not figure out which. This time I had to reinstall app by app for the issue to not show up. I have done the same exact process with other ROM and the issue only showed with this ROM.

@freeza

@Jairsantana has posted the stock OC5 TAR file:
http://xdaforums.com/note-3-sprint/development/romodin-t3095540

Freeza, do you have any plans to do your magic for a new Rom ? :good:
he was seen a few weeks ago talking about this:
Guess I should get on making the stock rom huh?

Samsung hasn't posted the kernel source and xposed doesn't work currently for lollipop on Samsung tw. I'll be skipping this version for now on my ROM.
So, it sounds like he might be making a stock(ish), but not for this ROM.

Introducing: Galaxy Note fre3 post-install with Xposed Framework

In Galaxy Note fre3 2.0, I have written a post-install script that will install, on first boot, the Xposed Framework, wanam, tinted status bar, and butteredtoast. This does not mean you have to manually install Xposed, and enable modules. It is all automated and all happens on first boot. No need to 'reflash' the ROM. This will happen any time you do a factory reset on this ROM. It also sets a few default settings, enables tethering, and a bunch of things behind the scenes. I consider this a version 0.1 product. It has great potential and will able me to apply entire settings on your device--everything from ringtones to brightness, volume, widget layouts, lockscreen wallpaper, etc. You name it, I can probably make the post-install script do it. This will enable the Galaxy Note fre3 ROM to be truly customized in every way exactly how I intend it to be.

You will notice upon first boot, when the white screen comes on telling you that your phone is setting up for the first time, that the phone will quickly 'hot boot' after about 30 seconds. This is completely normal and is part of the post-install process. Don't freak out and think you're in a boot loop. Everything will be fine. As the ROM progresses, I will modify that screen with a message like "Your phone will reboot during the setup. Please wait..."

    See it in action:

Hmm, not many exciting things going on lately, but I have noticed a largely security based update was released. NK4.... I'll be updating the ROM to this shortly. No kernel source was released for this update so I can only assume it is a very minimal update.

I'll also be updating the kernel, removing a few modules, and adding new ones over the next week!

Thank you to everyone who continues to support this project even with the lack of activity going on both here and the Note 3 forum as a whole.

    Update coming along....
