As posted further down your post, you should ABSOLUTELY MAKE CLEAR IT IS NOT A SAMSUNG ROM. It's a CM9 Alpha (Beta?) build. Also make sure to absolutely not use Odin to flash it, it will incement the counter.
I also believe it is due to the fact that this is a wipe rom. I flashed through CWM and it also wiped my device. If you have a recent backup, you could try to restore the data partition only. This way you would get your data back.
As said above, I support you with this notion. Be advised though, CM ROMs are VERY EFFICIENT and 110MB is a complete CM build. The ones for my previous device were 85-90. Also note that the S-Pen is fully supported, there are - of course - no Samsung S-Apps in the ROM. Support means, the technology works and is recognised by the ROM.

I believe so, yes. That's at least what I experienced flashing it with CWM (not MobODIN) and also what I believe others said all over the place, mainly the release thread.

I myself would do it more or less this way:
A little more exact: get the most recent stock rom which corresponds to my device (AUT -> Switzerland), flash it with Windows ODIN and in the process reformat and completely wipe clean the device. The outcome will be a completely blank device looking as if it is taken out the box the first time. Like a boss
As can be deducted from the part just above: unaltered, unchanged, not tempered with original Samsung originating firmware making your device truely "original". The car comparison is always lame, but fits, once more
Whats the difference between a tuned and a stock car. The same as it is between a custom flashed and stock phone. Here is guide how to find stock ROM from SamMobile
** Guide showing images are for demonstration and which showing model number may be varies from yours, you have to select your device model number i.e N7000
- Open This SamMobile firmware page.
- Type device Model number in search box
- This will find all latest ROM for that device, click on Kies symbol next you your desired ROM to get download link.
- To get ROM from specific country, select Firmware option on page
- Fill up required option. This will show all available ROM from selected country.
