Also, does Glitch need to be reflashed after ROM and GAPPS?

I think so, yes. Here's what I'd recommend:

flash rom and glitch in same recovery session
reboot into the rom, let it do some stuff
reboot back into recovery, flash gapps, reboot the rom

continue restoring whatever accounts and settings have vanished.

That's what I did and I has up and running pretty quick.

With the latest Glitch kernel...its better than CM7...in my opinion...

it is still in the earlier stages..not as customizable and tweak-able as CM7 ..just yet...But definitely a daily driver..at least for me..

There are some known issues....lock screen wallpaper doesn't work yet... some report some issues with wifi....I haven't had any major problems..actually incredibly stable...SMS works fine..MMS should work..I don't use it..so can't comment on it..

In general..most people find EC09 better..as they tend to get better speeds out of it...but mileage varies when it comes to radios...EH03...on my phone..in my service area...results in a stronger signal(reported anyway)...but less speed...

Superclean...isn't that a Touchwiz based rom....?...

You loose some stability/reliability going to MTD based roms from touchwiz....because touchwiz is designed specifically for the phone....going to other roms based on something else..it is a given that things may not be as smooth or reliable an experience..expect some bugs and hiccups...If you absolutely NEED your phone to work and function properly everytime use it..stick with touchwiz roms....if u want bleading edge and bragging rights with running the new stuff..then flash away....just do your homework and read thoroughly...

Touchwiz isn't smooth at all (well Touchwiz 3.0). It's also a huge memory hog, and isn't quite as stable as native android.

Sounds good. Let you know how things go.

Calendar won't sync on Milestone 4. Came from Build 27. Wiped cache & dalvik. Do I need to wipe data? Is everyone using 3/4 gapps with MS4? Thanks!

edit: answered in Development Thread.

Anyone experience a focus problem (takes a sec or two to focus) when scrolling web pages.
Using m4 with stock kernel and now glitch.
Otherwise a great rom

On THS 6.5 I would drop data and it would not return until I rebooted. This occurred to me today on AOKP Milestone 4. Now on Build 6.5 I suspected that it had something to do with being in no signal areas for a duration (parking garage etc). However, it happened today on AOKP in a decently covered area. It has never happened while I was using the phone, and would sometimes return after signal was reacquired.

So I am at a loss when I need to logcat. This bug would seem to coincide with possible the RIL fixes or maybe the MMS patches. Note that this never happened to me after I returned to THS 6.0 and I would wager on whatever AOKP predates any 6.5 inclusions.

As usual, when I make these posts I want to remind those involved in development that I appreciate your work.

Good luck...

Also...if u use ur phone as a music player..I recommend installing DSP Manager....it is an awesome EQ app...I get amazing sound quality...deep slamming bass...clear mids and highs....

DSP Manager for ICS (flash in recovery): HERE
Wow, thanks a bunch for posting this, it was the only thing keeping me on CM9! I tried a few different things to get it working myself, but apparently missed some system files (after poking around the zip). Just out of curiosity, where did you find this?

Google...my friend..

First thing I wanted to make sure that there was a DSP manager that would work in ICS...since I use my phone as my primary music player....and that app is AMAZING....btw..did u mean "keeping me on CM7"...not CM9..??

I believe I got linked to the thread by this page: http://androidspin.com/2012/02/13/download-cm9s-dsp-manager-for-ice-cream-sandwich/

Not sure if this is the newest version...but it works....the "newest version" that is in that thread is on page 2...not the one in the OP...the one I linked to is the one I am using..and..(as far I as I can tell) is the latest version out there...at the moment..

I've tried some of the pricier ones....sehnheiser, JLabs, Beats....but honestly, and maybe its the tough conditions I use them in, ( heavy equipment operator) but I'm telling you, the SKULLCANDY line sound pretty incredible. Super bass, great mid range and crisp clear highs.

Thanks speedingcheetah, I must have somehow missed that when I was searching around. And no, I meant CM9 (THS). DSP has always been included as long as I've been using it. I tried to get it working on AOKP myself but missed some of the system files.

Voodoo sound+DSP+my Sennheiser HD-25 II sounds great to me, I've never been a big fan of earbuds but they are nice for portability.

What store let's you try them? That's the only thing holding me back. I refuse to drop that kind of cash without hearing them first.

Tried, as in purchased. Sorry i should have made that clear. I get them thru Amazon. Most start out pretty good, but after a while one channel will crap out. Actually stumbled across the Skull candy line in a skater store of all places ! Lol

its built in glitch kernel...use terminal to access it. For the bazillionth time :p............type this below and make sure to hit enter after each entry:

    "su"
    "callboost enable"

    enter these numbers
    3,3,1,3,19,10,29,18

This will give you a good starting point...

Thanks for giving a good starting point.. This is OP material

You know, if enough people have great success with those numbers, i might consider building them in as the kernel defaults...what do you all think?

I must say that steve and team glitch are really doing amazing things on this device!!! The latest bigmem test.zip is freaking amazing to say the least..what little lag I was experiencing is now a thing of the past with 200+mb of ram free. I dont remember this much ram being available since powerwash froyo days. GOOD JOB FELLAS!!!!
    Long live the fascinate!
    Long live Team Glitch!

As a work-around for the Torch issue, download an app called Tiny Flashlight + LED from the market. Here's a link that I think will work: https://market.android.com/details?...1bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5kZXZ1bmkuZmxhc2hsaWdodCJd

It's top-notch. The strobe functionality and morse code stuff even works, which is a first on my Fascinate at least. I'll probably stick with this over the in-ROM torch app unless the latter starts working and knocks my socks off.

    thanks for the info
yeah its a TW based rom and I have no idea what i'm getting into... how would i go about flashing? is there voodoo (or that doesnt work for these roms?)

No..there isn't a voodoo lag-fix...not needed....as these roms use ext4 as thier default filesystem, not the rfs that Samsung uses in touchwiz..there is voodoo sound support in the kernel...

Coming from touchwiz..it is a bit tricky....This rom must be flashed from the correct Recovery...meaning, u will need to ODIN the proper recvery, then flash the THS Buid 2, then this rom(and the glitch kernel and g-apps, if u want).

i recall some instructions being posted somewhere...but I need to do some digging around...unless some one else wants to post some...

    EDIT:

    Install:
Use CMW fixed for CM7 ODIN.TAR or CMW.ZIP
    Flash the above mentioned recovery...
    Boot into recovery
    wipe Data
    Flash THS Build 2
    reboot recovery
    wipe data in CWM
    install AOKP rom
    install gapps
    instal glitch kernel(optional)
    reboot

Download THS build 2 and the AOKP rom and the CWM zip..put on sd card...you should be fine flashing the recovery zip in your current recovery...then selecting the option to reboot to recovery..u should then be in the new recovery u just flashed...then continue with the steps..

I believe this will work fine....be warned...I flashed ICS form CM7...so have a full ODIN file available in-case something messes up and u need to revert to stock or what ever and start again...FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK!

    AOKP Milestone 4 Download

I am not sure why the official mirrors are down....hoping the rom wasn't pulled or something and it's just a server failure....so I am posting a link to download the rom from my dropbox..(hope that is ok)..don't want to get myself in-trouble....I will remove it if Stephen.k.spear (the OP of the rom) tells me too.
