** Struck at boot screen (red logo) after updating VenusX 3.2 Gingerbread version **

Even I had this issue today while updating this custom rom. But got it resolved. :)

Had to boot to recovery mode and

1) wipe data / factory reset and once done chose
2) reboot system now .
Note: If camera button does not respond / work, use the enter button on the Keyboard.

After reboot.. Please be patient.

It will take a while before it comes to the main screen.

If you get activation screen. (Emergency Dial & choose Language option)
Bypass it by tapping the screen on the top left, top right, lower right, lower left (in this order).

I have tested the mobile using a GSM sim as well..

Hope this helps...

how did you get to clockwork after coldboot?

Background:
Had some issues related to GSM. So I decided to update to .607 GB update.
After GB update, Used D3 rooting method (PetesMotorolaRootTools_v1.06.zip)
Installed Droid 2 Recovery Bootstrap v1.0.0.3
Copied VenusX D2G 3.2 to SD card.

Booted into recovery by holding "power + X (on the key board)"
Updated VenusX D2G 3.2 but got struck @ red logo after the reboot.

Again booted to recovery mode "power + X (on the key board)" and performed
1) wipe data / factory reset
2) reboot
(use the volume keys to move around options and camera button to chose.)
Note: If camera button does not respond / work, use the enter button on the Keyboard.

Sorry Forgot to mention: When you are struck remove the battery. wait for few seconds and put it back. Start the phone Holding down the "X" key on the keyboard.
If you are in a different screen Try pressing the search button / volume buttons..
Sorry dont remember the exact sequence.. Hope this helps

what will I like about this rom? what would I miss about Fission or CM7? What is different about it? any comments on what it does better than the above roms, or what it could improve on?

WTF

Stuck at the M splash with the Bee like everyone else mostly.
Cant even sbf because of it autobooting every 5 seconds so it turns off in bootloader (no text) and shows the Splash Screen again.

big problem

Not that it's new, but I'm stuck at the red M.

The new part is that there seems to be nothing I can do. I can boot into recovery, which doesn't really do me any good because I can't get a computer to recognize a usb connection to sbf back. Is there something I might have done wrong?

once you have a fresh install of 2.3 stock, just install venus from the recovery menu, it will install fine.

try uninstalling RSD lite and then reinstalling it. thats how I finally got my system to recognize the phone. also, changing USB ports and running as administrator might not hurt trying out too.

RC1 installed.
VenusX 2.3 battery life was 50% (3d 17h) in GSM + WiFi always On. Perfect 720p video. No issues.
Thank you for your hard work!

So my old thread tips helped you? What rom you going to put on?

Down forget to 'thank' me if I did help you.

ngocha2006, do you mind providing an update.zip to replace the jedi android logo with the default Motorola red M logo? The pic you choose is blindingly white especially since phone fires up at full brightness initially. Plus restoring nandroid won't replace this change, it would stay there until SBF.

Or if anyone knows how to flash back original M logo without going through the hassle of SBFing, updating/etc?

If you flash this zip through CWM, it should restore the normal red Moto logo. Unless you want the silver/white one, let me know.
