So, does anybody use sip on cm7?
Any comments on the above?

Arakmar's kernel works on cm7 with openfimg ;)

Still can't make wifi work again after unsuccessfully flashing g3mod 2.4.1. (and then again cm7 kernel and now arakmar's kernel) and battery drain is awful... Any suggestions?
A lot more questions (see the original post) and still nobody has helped me :(

Name it music.apk, put in system/app with root explorer, change permissions, reboot. Try that.

What should i change the permissions to? :s

Edit: I checked the read/write/execute permissions of the owner. Are there any other permissions i need to change? I rebooted but nothing happened.. the app hasnt been installed. Though i should've mentioned earlier that i want this thison my phone which is a different version of the player.

Thanks! Here's the deodexed cm7 zip mentioned ;)
Ahem... I've got openfimg so I got the black screen again after boot... Luckily I had the update kyrillos had made with openfimg and cm7 kernel working so I flashed that too and now it works, but... I hadn't realized the deodexed update is like flashing a new rom, so now I have to restore apps and settings properly...

It says in dhirens single post/thread that it deletes whole system/app, so if you put something there manually it would be deleted. You should search before 'getting on job done'. :p

    Hello,

This thread is here to let you know how is the port of CyanogenMod 7 and to discuss about it.

Actually, the CM7 port is in alpha stage, until all the hardware is working. The ROM is very stable and can be used everyday, but you could miss some features that are not yet (fully) working like bluetooth.

    Main rules :
There is no ETA so, please, don't ask.

    What is working :

    - FM radio (27/10/2011 - alpha7)

    @Everyone :

I have got many PM's regarding the state of this thread and i believe Marcel would have got more than me ......thats why i am sharing the Info.

Marcel have got the job he desired and currently have to move to CANADA......so it will probably take 1-2 Weeks.....

after that he should first get settled in there and should build up the development environment again.......

So till then i guess everyone should have patience.

Not 1-2 weeks but 3-4 months... but you know, it's not easy to immigrate in a new country so I'm very busy to prepare my family and myself for the move.

Thanks for your support and patience.

    Some news about Alpha9 :
    - Camera : you can now use a barcode reader or any app that requires camera. It should work.
    - Video recording is working with some restrictions : not using hardware codec but software. Audio is not recorded but may be fixed soon.
