Instructions/Disclaimer/All that other stuff
None of these are my work! All credits go to their creators (listed after the links)
If I have missed anyone's theme, or I have made a mistake in labeling/crediting them, please let me know via PM/posting in this thread and I will fix it.
Most of these are flashable in Clockwork, and require deodexed roms - MAKE BACKUPS BEFORE FLASHING! I am not responsible for screwed up phones! All the information is as accurate as far as I know, but you are responsible for determining if it will work on your phone. Read the linked installation threads for instructions and bugs, if any.
If you have used one of these themes on a rom that I do not list as being compatible, please let me know and I will add that note.
Quick Concise Flashing Instructions
**WARNING**WARNING** - Flashing a theme is usually a painless procedure - but there is a chance things will go wrong. I cannot overemphasize this - MAKE BACKUPS BEFORE FLASHING!
1. MAKE SURE you are on a deodexed rom - this is VERY important. 99% of themes out there do not work and will quite badly mess up a phone with an odexed rom.
--How do you know if you have an odexed rom?
--If you only ever updated through Kies (poor soul) then you have an ODEXED rom, and can ONLY flash themes specifically designed for ODEXED roms.
--If you flashed a custom rom from this site, or one of Ramad's DEODEXED packages, then you have a DEODEXED rom and can proceed.
2. Verify that you are running a kernel with ClockworkMod recovery.
--How do you know if you have Clockwork on your phone?
--Power it off, then hold volume up + home and press the power button, hold down all 3 until the phone turns on.
--If you are dropped into a menu that has 5 or 6 options (and typically is orange or green) then YOU HAVE CLOCKWORK and can proceed.
--If it is blue and says 2e or 3e/System Utils for BML, and only has 2 or 3 options, then you do NOT HAVE CLOCKWORK and must install a custom kernel first. Take a look at the big FAQ thread for how to do this.
3. Check what firmware version you are running.
--How do you know what firmware you have on your phone?
--Tap the menu key, then Settings>>About Phone, and scroll down to 'Build Number'
--Your firmware version is here, it should say something like FROYO.XXJS8 or GINGERBREAD.XXJVQ - the last 3 digits are the firmware version (JS8 and JVQ in these cases). Make a note of this, and also the number under 'Firmware Version' and proceed.
4. Find a theme you like.
--How do you find a theme you like? Simple! Go back to the top of this post, and click the link that matches your Firmware Version. Then browse the lovely pictures.
5. Check its compatibility.
--How do you check if a theme is compatible?
--Remember when you wrote down your firmware build number? Compare it to the compatibility list. If it isnt listed, then it most likely WILL NOT WORK and you must keep searching.
--If your build number is listed as being compatible, then proceed!
6. Download the theme to your phone.
--Go to the main thread of the theme, and READ ALL THE THEME AUTHOR'S INSTRUCTIONS! And FOLLOW THEM!
--Download the theme .zip file to your internal SDcard (not the external sd, the internal memory), and proceed.
7. MAKE A BACKUP!
--Reboot to recovery/Clockwork, make a full backup, then proceed.
7. MAKE A BACKUP!
--So important i had to put it twice. Dont forget this step! (Don't actually make 2 backups, its repetition for emphasis)
8. Do some cleanup.
--Wipe cache partition, in Clockwork
--Under advanced settings, in Clockwork, wipe dalvik cache
--(most theme update scripts do this automatically, but cant hurt to make sure)
9. Flash the theme!
--Pick Install zip from SDcard, in clockwork
--Navigate to the theme .zip file that you downloaded, and install it!
--If the phone doesn't reboot by itself, pick 'Reboot system' in Clockwork
10. Enjoy! Note that first boot will take some time as it builds the dalvik-cache. Give it a few minutes. No really, a few minutes.
Note for those with Captivate/Fascinate/Epic phones (Galaxy S variants):
Be extremely cautious flashing these themes!!!!! Often they replace system apps (framework_res.apk, twframework_res.apk, phone.apk) and these apps may cease to function properly/disappear when you boot the phone after flashing. I do not have information on which themes will work on which phones, ask in the theme threads, not here!
Note for those with other android phones, who like these themes:
THEY ARE NOT COMPATIBLE with your phone! If you want to port them to your phone, contact the themers (their usernames are listed along with the theme), and see if they can help you out.
If you are using the Tegrak/FuguMOD kernel:
READ THE THEME THREAD BEFORE FLASHING! Some themed apps are not compatible and will not work after flashing.
Newer/more recently modified themes at the top of each section.
