This is just something I came up with, after spending 4 hours running through RUU and getting everything to look right, oh and did I say 4 hours? Yeah, it took me forever to get S-OFF. 
Prerequisite: bootloader unlocked, root access, S-OFF, the engineering HBOOT (I used this one)
Instructions:
Download the splash.img and place it in your working directory.
