I set automatic lock via TouchPro tweaks, the thing is, it always sets the brightness to the lowest. Even with lumos installed, it still makes the brightness set to the lowest level. Is this a known issue? Is there any fix for this?
I used Pocket Shield before--a very nice lockscreen app--, but I want a different feels about lock screen. But the default lockscreen has to be set manually, which is a pain in the arse.
I suggest dang the autolock and set "long-press end-key" to lock.
Not that inconvenient once you get used to.

Flash of 23544 - Sense 2.1 March 10, 2010

Flash was successful. Did the hard reset. Aligned screen. Powered down. Put in storage card and sim.Powered Up. Detected network. Set it up.
Added company root certificate, setup exchange account, changed it to 1 month of emails, and synced with exchange - 475 emails / 245 contacts / 42 calander events.
Made a test phone call. Dialer looks good.

Use Tools->Back FavPeople Up! to restore people tab
Linked people tab with facebook

Verified that contact editor has scrolling.
Glad to see ArkSwitch is cooked in and QuickLink is gone.
Noticed TCPMP is cooked in and it's a newer version than I had.

Noticed ListViewHeight72 is not set correctly.
Set HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila
ListViewHeight72 = 1
Otherwise some menus will be messed up.

Analyzed the files on (3/10/2010 at about 11:45 pm) in Yozgatg's Sense 2.1 Service Pack 1.1 with the same files in the ROM.
None are identical. I checked this before, but confirmed that it still needs to be applied in it's entirety, minus the 1 file. This means the 5 files are needed.

Gives you the Agenda view, like in Sense 2.5.
Stop HTC Sense. Copy file from the 0409 folder and the gsm forlder to the windows folder. Install cab. Restart. Restart HTC Sense.

1. Installed FF ATT Nokia aGPS Settings.cab ----- http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=544421
. This should NOT be installed unless you use AT&T. It will make it worse it you don't use AT&T.
. I find it dramaitcally decreases the time needed to get a cold GPS lock.
. Run Quick GPS as well to download data
2. JVH3_WeatherCityEditor_v3.4.cab --- http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=546141
. I posted an updated version on the Jan 4, 2010.
. Allows adding custom cities to the weather city database, so you can actually add the city you live in to the weather page.
. Allows does backup and restore, including selected cities.
. Program works for both Sense 2.1 and Sense 2.5, but Sense 2.1 files are not compatible with Sense 2.5, so make sure to keep a seperate copy for each flavor ROM.
3. Glympse.cab -- I originally installed this from Marketplace. I created my own cab. It's not posted anywhere. It's a free app.
. Send you GPS coordinates to anyone.
4. Microsoft_Voice_Command.v1.6.23081.cab - http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=4860721&postcount=10596
. Change setting - Enabled, also change Notifications to the middle radio button.
5. Touch_InCall_Screen_Tweek v1.2.0.cab -
. Shuts screen off when phone is by your ear. Turns it back on when you pull it away to press a button.
. check all 3 check boxed on first page, then both for blue tooth, and also check the box for not unlocking the screen.
6. Digital Outcast's snooze options . Gives you the ability to pick how long you want to snooze t the time when the alarm goes off.
. Note Reminders issue is corrected in this ROM.
7. g sensor app ChangeScreen
. ChangeScreen by 600GOL: http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=5519702&postcount=3599
. Thanks for posting this moory3003. Confirmed to work with 23541.
. I set default to rotate none, and add GoogleMaps and HTCCalculator as the only apps to rotate.
. Actually Saved the config this time under advanced.
8. Set buttons. Long Send to Voice Command. PTT to Comm Manager.
9. Used Program Tab Toolbox to restore Program Tab.

Adjusted registry settings for size of MMS issues (the other settings were fine):

HKLM\Software\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\MMSCSettings\SampleMMSC

Charger Not Working - Please Help

First I would like to thank NRGZ28 for this great ROM.:)

Next, I have a really strange problem. After flashing the ROM some time around February (not sure about version as i flash the rom as soon as it is released), I noticed that the Wall Charger stopped working. I had a spare Wall Socket/Car Charger which has a usb port connectivity with which it was working as well as through USB cable connected to a computer. I initially thought the problem is with the Wall Charger and bought a new wall charger recently as the battery used to drain quickly.

Today I got the brand new OEM charger and now I see the new charger is also not working. :(

Can anybody help me please???

Thanks in advance
Ram

Audiomanager Problems - Potential Solution

I just thought I would share something that worked for me.

I was having problems with the music tab in recent builds, where the audiomanager was constantly trying to update the library, even when it shouldn't need to - every time I tried to swipe up or down to a new track, instead of doing that it would just try and update the library again - a process that takes several mins as I have over 10gb of MP3s...

After much investigation, it turns out that the problem was with my MP3s - some of which may have had corruptions that newer builds of audiomanager doesn't like. Anyway, I downloaded the program linked below, scanned all of my MP3s and selected the repair option, and hey presto - audiomanager works fine now!

http://mp3val.sourceforge.net/download.shtml

Make sure you select the option to delete the backup files, or you may find you have to trawl through your MP3 folders and delete them all manually! It found issues with about 25% of my MP3s, and fixed virtually all of them.

I've read that doing this may also help solve issues where audiomanager crashes...

autolock actually does the "turn off and forget" method. only thing that bothers me about that lock is that you have to wait a second to be able to slide the lock

I know by 'autolock' means 'turn of and forget'
As mentioned before, brightness issue, which can't be solved by lumos.
hope somebody fix this issue,,,

See attached.

When using the GoogleMail mobile website, the text in the main reply text box shows up as black boxes. The letters do no show up.

This problem still happens with Internet Explorer in the latest version of the ROM. Does anyone have a fix yet? I know it works fine with Opera, but it also happens in some other programs I use too - IE is just the easiest one to demonstrate the problem.

Thanks!

Which Rom are you using?
It would be nice if you updated your sig.

Latest roms work with MMS but it might be worth doing the regedit for mms size increase that is listed in the bottom of the post right above yours, MMS has been discussed a lot in this thread, I did a simple search for MMS and immediately below all your posts asking the same question is the answer.

You don't need to install any cabs anymore as it has been fixed in the past couple of ROMs, the solution for you I think would be to reload the ROM and follow what JVH3 did after loading, its a really good guide.

Now I'm off to change my sig as I'm using 2.5 Leo now...

I have installed the Mar 9 21892 edition with no max manila or cookie home page, and it is stunningly fast. Have used for a few hours and I reckon it may be the fastest rom I have used to date. Also found no bugs as yet. Major credit to the chef... :)

I Really like the new ringtones that NRGZ28 has added on last roms... But my suggestion is to add this on a cab separately the rom. That way the rom size is lower and easy to download. If any one like extra ringtones download the extra cab... what do you users think?

I recommend you Co0kie HT edition... FASTER and beatiful. Co0kiemonster has worked on new animation to slower devices (ours... LOL) and did a great job! Co0kie HT works better cooked in!

Welcome to the "EnergyROM" thread !

This development thread is for my "Energy" custom firmware series for the HTC Touch Pro (Raphael) device.

The current build numbers and date can be seen in the title of this thread. I usually update the ROMs about twice a week, as new builds come down the pipe or as new software/updates are available.

I build my ROMs with four main goals.

    • Eye candy ( I want my ROM to look great and for it to all flow together nicely)
    • Speed !!!
    • Smoothness, consistency and good aesthetics
    • Stability through private beta testing before public release

I pre-configure a lot of things in my ROM, because when I flash it on my phone, I want it ready to go. So, expect the backlight to be set at the maximum brightness, the ringtone, sms/email and other notifications to already be set. Doing it this way, makes for a nice ROM that's ready out of the box.

I recommend learning to backup your settings with either Sashimi or UC (User Customization). Backing up with SPB Backup or similar products, is NOT recommended, as they tend to backup the previous release's registry/file bugs as well!

Looking at the download folder you will find two core versions of my ROM.

    • The 21916 Build which is the most reliable, fast and bug free release. It has the Start menu button at the top left corner just like a stock ROM. I recommend you start with this first! :)

    • The 29022 Build that's the latest in the 6.5.X series with the Start menu button at the bottom left corner and big softkeys. These builds reflect the latest cutting edge technology from Microsoft. These are also much more finger friendly throughout.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You can stay up to date on the status of my ROM development by "following" me on Twitter.

It's definitely the fastest way to get in touch with me and please don't be afraid to tweet me if you see major issues with the ROMs.
I generally do not answer "support" questions on Twitter, as it's really not the proper medium for that. Service packs and quick fixes will always be released as links in my tweets and that's definitely the fastest way to get a fix for a ROM.

To follow me on twitter, click here!

If you own an European\Asian Touch PRO, use the "Keyboard Selector" application under Utilities > Tweaks (after you flash the ROM) to select the "Pro" keyboard layout. The ROM comes with the american AT&T Fuze layout enabled by default.

This post features all the Cookie Hometab based ROMs I make.

The original ROM is the "energy" version and that's a good starting point. All the rest, are themes applied to that ROM.
They all come in two versions,
Cookie 1.8.5 and Cookie 2.0 (the ROM filename will be labeled "Cookie" and "Cookie.2.0, plus the name of the theme)

You can see more screenshots of these ROMs a couple of posts down.

The two Cookie versions look pretty similar, but Cookie 2.0 has multiple sliding homescreens/freely moveable widgets (similar to Android) and
quite a few more features and speed, however it's still in 'beta'. Cookie 1.8.5 is considered the less complicated and stable build for now.

    My own 'Energy' style

    • This is the best ROM version and the way Sense should have been designed by HTC
    • Offers the biggest customization ability out of all versions. You can add/remove bars or items on the homescreen, arrange items any way you like, plus lots of extra features
    • Three built in lockscreens. "HD Mini" style, Manila style or Windows style
    • 3 pages of quicklinks with a configurable amount of shortcuts displayed
    • 3 Homescreen layouts to choose from, as seen in the above screenshots, all completely customizable !
    • Link to the original thread for this mod is here > Click <
    Dinik's "Anastasia"
    • This ROM series is skinned with Dinik's great "Anastasia" theme applied on everything.
    • Everything has been skinned, including Sense, the start menu items, the soft keyboard, parts of the dialer... etc
    _LeCiel_'s ".sencity"

    • This ROM is themed with the .sencity theme released by _LeCiel_ who is a very talented artist ! Please support his work if possible.
    • .sencity is not %100 complete yet, but _LeCiel_ is working hard on finishing his work to completely skin the entire ROM.
    • Link to the original thread for this mod is here > Click <
DJC & Bobsbbq's "Touch Of Glass"
    • This ROM series is skinned with DJC's "Touch of Glass" theme throughout Sense and the Start Menu
    • More will be skinned as DJC continues his work on the theme in the future...
    • Link to the original thread for this mod is here > Click <
    ElCondor's "GTX"

    • This ROM has the white GTX theme applied
    • Android styled taskbar, matching dialer, matching start menu background and Action screen background
    • GTX is a total reskin of the operating system, so expect a very different (white) experience

    ROM features at a glance:

    • Very fast startup time. You won't find any startup wizards in this ROM. You'll be up and running in a couple minutes after flashing the ROM and ready to go. No need to spend time to set everything up.

    • XDA_UC is built in. It will import your custom XML and REG files from your storage card after first boot.

    • My own Settings Exporter application is found in the Tools folder. Use it to export all your settings after you customize the device. When a new ROM comes down the line, use it to import everything and save time.

    • Everything is setup to use the phone right after flashing. Sounds, notifications, all options, etc

    • The HTC Messaging client is removed, leaving the windows built SMS client for much faster texting, but still able to use a nicely skinned Sense text messaging app with "iphone style" messaging bubbles.

    EnergyStandard.png

'Standard' ROMs that have no addons installed on the homescreen. Stock Sense 2.5 !

    'Energy'

    • This series retains the stock functionality of the Sense UI. The files have been compressed by "CFC" compression. making the UI lighter and faster
    • This ROM still retains my theme and style, plus all the regular apps you find in my ROMs.
    • There are no homescreen addon-ons in this ROM. The best speed and the most stock functionality.

    MaxSense.png
    Titanium.png

    MaxSense UI (android style homescreen)

    • This is a complete rewrite of the Sense homescreen, by maxycy.
    • It features a 3 screen, Android style, homescreen with widgets! The widgets can be placed ANYWHERE on the three screens.
    • 75 Quicklink accessible on all tabs
    • You should really visit the original thread for this mod shown on the next line to see all the features!
    • Link to the original thread for this mod is here > Click <.
    Titanium (ROMs for raw speed!)

    • This is a minimal ROM version without Sense in it. It's used primarily for people that like to customize the default 6.5 homescreen (Titanium)
    • You can use it to install alternate homescreen interfaces like SPB Mobile Shell, etc
    • Very low memory footprint and good battery life, but very simple and lacks a lot of features that you would otherwise have available in Sense...

    Camera / G-Sensor Issue

In the Rhodium, I found that HTCSensorSDK.dll was missing in both the December 11th and December 13th ROMs.

I found this by running depends.exe on Camera.exe.

    I saw that HTCSensorSDK.dll was a dependency.

Since there were also G-Sensor issue, it seemed like a likely cause.

I uploaded my December 5th version of that file. A user applied it.

    The Camera started working.

That particular file might not be compatible with the Raphael, so I recommend someone look at the last ROM where the camera worked. backup HTCSensorSDK.dll from the windows folder.

Flash the latest ROM. Then copy the backed up file to the windows folder.

If it works, then zip it up and upload it.

Hope this helps. If it does, please remember the Thanks button.
