Which one is much easier, lowyat's method or this one here http://xdaforums.com/lenovo-a850/general/tutorial-install-cwm-twrp-lenovo-a850-t2642431. The second one I feel that is much easier. What say you?
I did it using lowyat's method, and it cant be easier! And then found this http://www.needrom.com/phone-roms/lenovo/serial-a/a850/ on it site!

I do not know. Ask the store/site you bought the phone for a link with a rooted rom...
Why don't you try to root the phone directly now?

My wife bought me the phone Lenovo 850+, while she was on holiday in China.
Can you suggest what ROM I should use please?

Except from some changes (install apps on SD), all roms have not great improvements (from my opinion).
Since i haven't see any ROM for the a850+, i advice you to root the phone and play with rooted apps untill a good rom is released
