Typical error that happen when you try to flash recovery with a locked or re-locked bootloader... unlock bootloader

Bad idea imo, S-OFF seems to be much harder to achieve on hboot 1.56 and this ruu will update his hboot to that version. He could be stuck S-ON without the possibility to remove security flags and stuck with a re-locked bootloader instead of locked.
Better to flash arhd 31.6 and s-off on hboot 1.44 like you suggested.

Still haven't read but hboot 1.44 (pre June 2013), use this rom http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=48955645&postcount=251 with revone, works every time.1
yes but you will need s-off first because this ruu is a downgrade in version.
