You'll need to perform a FULL wipe with extra steps. I've written the steps in OP but I'll write it here.

Wipe data/factory reset
Mounts & storage > Format System
Flash ROM.
Wipe data/factory reset
Reboot.

After its done booting you can go back to recovery to apply the updates and install gapps

I can answer your questions except the last one. cMIUI and this are based on AOSP unlike stock MIUI which is based on stock ROM. cMIUI has a 4 way reboot function while this has only a reboot function.

It's possible to change DPI by editing build.prop and changing lcd_density.

    MIUI Multi Language Pack 3.2.8

    I've just made a language pack for this ROM based on the language pack from miuiandroid.com (so credit goes to them for their original language pack). This is only for the I9100 (I haven't tested it on other devices). As always, make a backup before installing (just in case something happens you can always roll back) Enjoy :D

    Edit: This also has SMS rotation implemented.

    Installation instructions:
    Do not format your system partition
    - Flash on top of 3.2.8
    - Wipe Dalvik cache

    MIUI 3.2.22 will be the last dev version of MIUI V4. Just like MIUI 2.3, MIUI V4 will become history.
    If eveything goes well, MIUI V5 for Xiaomi MI-2 will be released next Friday, 1st March!!
    MIUI V5 for other devices with MIUI 4.1 will be released in late March or early April.

    Hello again, I've managed to get the Control Panel Suite working on this ROM. I don't think this its device specific (I only have a I9100 so I can't test other devices). However, it should work on the I9100G and the I777 too. As always make a backup before testing, just in case :).

    Features
    - Center/Switched/Normal Status Bar layout
    - Option to hide the Status Bar Clock
    - Custom Carrier Label, hide Carrier Label or Carrier Logo (via mtz theming)
    - Enabled landscape mode of SMS app.

    Installation instructions:
    - Download the package to your phone
    - Reboot to recovery mode
    - Install the ControlPanel.zip package
    - Reboot and Enjoy!
