New Nexus 5 unlocked bootloader twrp custom recovery and root. ROM AND KERNEL???

I am new to the Nexus 5 and I've been reading threads very thoroughly.

Does anyone have any suggestions for ROMS and/or KERNELS that would basically give me high customization of the UI (notification bar, top bar) and also an option for high battery optimization (like a power saver mode).

dont make best rom threads.

go look in the dev section and try some out yourself.
