so deleting item 550 in the backup will prevent my imei from getting messed up? also from my list of differences does that look correct as to what needs to be enabled in qxdm?
i also have no issues running qxdn in windows 7 64 bit. do need to install qpst before it will work though
thanks for replying, the error i am getting is on the installation, it stops and tells me that it needs Internet Explorer 6.0 or later to work which of course i have installed (latest version)...tried downloading other version but error is the same! :-/ i jus need that program now to do the procedure, i already make my backups and such...please help!
you need to decompress the .msi... and you will see the executable...
Okay... searching internet right now for a cr#$%d version... lol

i was able to use the link you provided but it also told me to install qpst
you dont need to decompress msi to install it, just run the setup.exe and it should take care and you need to have admin privilege to install it.
how do you go about restoring the nv backup that you posted?
perhaps more detailed instructions will help? just afraid to do anything wrong as i dont want to brick my phone
thanx

So I'm about ready to pull the trigger but wanted some clarification due to conflicting reports in this thread.
I've read that if you are not in an LTE area, the phone will default to edge, even in refarmed 1900mhz areas. Can someone elaborate, confirm, or deny? Thanks. (BTW I'm referring to T-Mobile)
Anybody have a working link for QTSP or QXDM?
So the tool that is needed to flash the zip file or restore current backup is QXDM?
thanks in advance
