Anyone up for the task? I saw in the Z1 forums that they have managed to modify the drop down menu so u have the quick toggles on the same page as the notifications (like in JB 4.3)

Im not that good on editing the files myself which is why im asking :)

[MOD][4.2.2/4.4.4] Get quick settings back on kitkat in notification drop down

As mentioned in title, this mod will restore the old one tabbed notification drop down menu;
and to give you more options, you can chose between (with text) or (without text) under toggles,
and you can chose between (4, 5, 6) icons in each row, so here you go:

This Mod works on Sony Kitkat 14.3.A.0.681 and 14.3.A.0.757 (which are 4.4.2) and now it works on 14.4.A.0.108 (which is 4.4.4)

Change it to "No Tabs Quick Settings", that is more appropriate.

Restore your backup, which I'm guessing you've not made. Simply copy and replace the modded file with a stock one.

This is fantastic mate, thank you! I have a request though, if it's not too much trouble could you make another with just the 4 icons per row?

Sure thing, I got some free time today so I thought I should give you guys more options

second post is updated with text or without text version of the mod,
also now you can have 4, 5, 6 toggles in a row, so check the screenshot then chose what you desire

I'm actually not familiar with non-rooted issues cuz I don't even think about using a phone without root,
and I don't know why some people don't root their devices ether

anyway, I think if you have a recovery without root, try to flash the zip, but if you don't have recovery,
then you can't use this or any system app related mod (other ways require root).
also if you haven't touched your ROM at all (updated officially) then your ROM is odexed, and that should be another problem

What exactly do you mean by transferring the settings button on the first tab?
There is only one tab in this mod so I don't quite understand what you mean
