Update: Frustrating =C bootanimation wont work errr

Update: Got bootanimation to work but it laggggsss like hell =/ guess no HD bootanimation...Going to use a more simplistic one i suppose...

Update:Weird... Got a cool boot animation working but when it runs through it for the first time it lags like hell after that its buttery smooth...

Update:pM'ed the testers with a new build. Will update more tomorrow, its already 1:50am here for me.

Update: Didn't want to sleep yet... Updated Build again... loool but not worth re-uploading yet... heres a lil preview of the google search.

Update: Updated/Uploaded new build, noticed that the framework-res.apk i had was outdated... So I've updated that. Pm'ed Testers again with new d/l link.

Thanks to l33tlinuxh4x0r and the previous author for the bootanimation. I've incorporated it into my bootanimation as part0 and mines as part1.
Heres a preview of bootanimationv3
Also i dont know why the first time running through my bootanimation lags.. after that its all smooth.. awh wells.

I'd like just the Google search mod. Was that just swapping out an image that's says "Google" for the icon? Or did you have to tweak an XML file to get space back since the icon need less space than the word.

Just FYI, I have a full deodexed system dump for 11.1 ICS in the dev section. If you know how to decompile & recompile a apk, you can grab whichever one you want and edit accordingly and replace via the OP's instructions; just make sure to add .bak to the odex file as well.

it keeps telle me " SystemUI.apk cannot be renamed because the file system is read-only. But I am rooted and everything what explorer are you guys using? Im using root explorer

I can not get the new boot animation to go full before my tab starts up.. I get only about 15 seconds in and its fully booted :( so its always choppy

Thats weird... so your saying your prime boots up in 15seconds? :confused:

What tool are you using to inject the altered pngs into your apks. As obviously decompiling and recompiling is not currently working. I have a couple mods I'm wanting to try out, but I can't get the images into the apks.

Never mind, figured out what I needed.

Here is a modded Launcher2.apk. As you can see I just changed the square indicators to circles. Much nicer methinks.

Unzip it and transfer it to your Prime.

Go into /System/app and rename Launcher2.apk to Launcher2.bak, or anything else you want to call it, then place this modded one in it's place and voila. I am not responsible if you break your Prime, it works fine on mine.

You will, unfortunately, have to re-build your homescreens.

@reNeglect: I hope you don't mind me putting it here, I didn't think it warranted a new thread.

    Will decide whether to update this trmw or on saturday and maybe not even at all and ask an admin to delete this thread as most of the ungrateful people on here feel like they're entitled that i theme this and that for them.

    Here's a lil more insight, when comparing the downloads to thanks the ratio is way different. But that was not a discouragement, chosing the path of a themer instead of a dev for roms or kernels. Its what expected, unless you're as big as someone like Master Vertumus. But as a themer, we work on the front lines visually improving the user interface and user experience which is breath taking. The discouragement comes when someone posts why doesn't it work on a newer released rom? Oh please support this and that, making the themer feel insignificant & pressured. Theming an app can take hours and hours of work. I mean i don't get paid for this, i choose to spend my free time theming trying to enhance your experience and what do i get? I'll let you make that call.

    I think its cause you were using a live wallpaper, it changed for me because i used picspeed lol anyways glad it worked for you =)
