I use the same set up, if 900mv is your starting point, by what increment do you increase your voltages - from 900mv to 925mv for the next clock speed?

As i am going to use this procedure!

I basically let EV's voltage increments between clock speed as is. I just stepped them all down until the 245MHz frequency is set to 900mv. If I can remember, I stepped all of them down by 100mV. What I don't understand is that the upper threshold of every frequency was unchanged. I basically gave each frequencies more room to breathe so to speak but I seems to have caused some instability.

I'll probably try to use ManU kernel with it's default settings over the weekend just to see if I get those restarts. Right now I'll stick with the stock kernel as I don't want my phone to reboot while on an important call at work. :D

It's probably better we continue this topic on ManU's thread. :p

There is one place where I've been witnessing a FC: the DSP manager FCs when I receive a call (it seems it happens mostly the first time after a reboot). As in - I start the phone (or restart it), receive a call, and on the screen I get a FC error. I have to close it before being able to answer the call (or seeing who is calling). Once I've closed the error, it doesn't seem to show up again (I don't receive many calls as such)
I have also got that error several times.

Another error I get is this: after a reboot, if I enable the Wi-Fi first, I can't enable the mobile data connection. The 2 arrow icon in the power widget becomes white, but the mobile data is not activated. My phone runs in 2G + 3G mode. I always use the power widget in the notification drawer to enable / disable Wi-Fi, mobile data or to switch the phone from 2G + 3G to 2G and viceversa. I can enable the mobile data connection only if I switch the phone from 2G + 3G to 2G and back to 2G + 3G.

Just to answer your question, I have just finished setting up everything. Flash the ManU 2.1 and I have undervolted all the way to 875mv @ 128mhz no issues.

No issues thus far, I have even flashed back the old x.x.x.08 radio.

Guess the next few days is testing time.

I normally use custom light levels as the the OP on the BCM9 thread, then when i flashed the latest nightly yesterday, i noticed that it has its own custom light levels and they are very similar to what the OP on the BCM9 are.

So i cant say that i am having those issues.

I did have a random reboot using 875mv @ 128mhz, i have then changed the lowest value to 900mv @ 245mhz and since last night after my last post, no reboots.

The rom is snappy i have yet to see how long i can go on a single charge.

Hi, I'm going to try this ROM after having a lot of problems with CM7 7.1 for GSM. Basically I get a lot of FC errors all the time and my WIFI is really slow, I think due to the fact I didn't flash an updated radio before installing it (my recovery kept giving an error whatever radio I tired to flash).

My question regarding this ROM is does it include INT2SD2 with it? Also do I need to install an updated radio to get it working because as said previously I keep getting errors flashing a radio and I've tried CWM, 4EXT and ADB Command Prompt with no luck.

BTW here's the error I get:

Amend scripting (update-scripting) is no longer supported. Amend scripting was depreciated by Google in Android 1.5. It was necessary to remove it when upgrading to Clockworkmod 3.0 Gingerbread based recovery. Please switch to Edify scripting (update-script and update-binary) to create working update zip packges. Installation aborted.

You can update your radio via fastboot
1. Download your radio .zip file
2. Extract radio.img from it, place it in the same folder as fastboot.exe
3. Connect your phone, verify that it's recognized by typing
fastboot devices
4. Flash radio with this command:
fastboot flash radio radio.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot erase cache
5. Hit the thanks button :)

Edit:
When the radio is being flashed, you might think the process hanged because cmd on the PC won't react for a few seconds. However, you'll see a progress bar on your phone.

I believe I was able to reproduce the issue but I'm not bothered that much as I usually prefer the backlight buttons off all the time anyway. As for who should fix the issue, I'm not sure if it should be the kernel dev or the rom. Right now since it's basically a 'nightly' version of CM7 it doesn't seem right to have EV correct this as the rom we are using is technically a developmental rom. Besides, 2.1 is the last version for it. EV stated he is stopping development.

Is the backlight working fine on the default kernel? I wasn't able to check.

I have a problem with the in-call volume, it is way too low. I really need to press my phone against my ear to hear everything. I use the latest nightly, with S2E with dalvik cache and data to SD. The problem is there since quite some time, a few months I think. It was also there on the Euroskank nightlies.

I don't have that problem with other roms, for example Sandvold's ICS rom. Any solutions?

Thanks a lot you are the man!

I don't know why I couldn't flash the radio from zip but when I unzipped it and flashed the .img file with adb command prompt it worked. That has taken me three days of head scratching to get that sorted so I am really grateful for your help.

One other question do I need to do anything sice flashing the radio, such as a full wipe and re-install the ROM (CM7 for GSM) or should I just carry on using it as normal?

As far as I know it's not necessary. However, I personally like things clean so if I flash anything, I always wipe cache & dalvik-cache. Full wipe definitely not needed, it should be working away just fine.

I've played with it for a few hours and though it is a lot more stable I am still getting FC errors, sync issues plus it seems to have issues switching the phone out of standby when I press the power button, the bottom button lights come on but not the screen. Doing this a few times eventually switches it on.

I'm going to do a full wipe and re-flash the ROM tomorrow to see if this sorts it.

My wife sent the phone to a service, came back repaired and can be heard loudly.

I'm thinking of trying this ROM as I was having a lot of stability problems with CM7 for GSM a couple of questions I'd please like answering is does this include INT2SD? If not is it hard to install?

Thanks

cm7 is in a development stage and for the first installation i recommend to:

    1) install rom
    2) reboot, skip setup wizard and setup your access point
    3) reboot recovery and install gapps
    4) start and follow setup wizard, when requested select desired gapps to be downloaded from market

    Battery drain issue:
Set wifi sleep policy to never
settings -> wireless & networks -> wifi settings
press menu -> advanced and set wifi sleep policy to Never
    press menu -> save

    RIL issue:
Switching RIL is cause of know network problem:
    * Unable to make a network scan
    * Data connection die on asleep (only for some carrier)

CM7 HBOOT by Alpharev | xda thread
Change partition table size 130/5/302 (system/cache/size)
    Require nightly #18 or newer
    Upgrade instruction:
    1) Nandroid backup in recovery.
    2) Verify the MD5SUM of the file you downloaded against the one in the table.
    3) Flash HBOOT with your phone in fastboot mode (Back+POWER) -> 'fastboot flash hboot bravo_alphaspl-cm7.img'
    4) 'fastboot reboot-bootloader'
    5) 'fastboot erase cache'
    6) Boot recovery, wipe everything, advanced restore system & data, install CM7 again (same version or a newer one).

    Legacy App2SD Addon:
CyanogenMod do not officially support a2sd, i'm working on it because desire (not only) desperatly need it (cutted down Firerat script)
Bootloop free: bind mount do not cause bootloop
Zero Maintenance: no maintenance required after ROM update
Other a2sd can be used, this is just the easiest way: use recovery to partition your SD then install cm7_legacy_a2sd_rX-signed.zip
By default only App will be moved on SD
Optionally Cache and Data can be moved to SD, but is not recommended (guide)
Require GB Nightly #7 or newer
It's recommended to set the install location to "Internal" under Settings -> CyanogenMod -> Application Settings -> Install location
Before install check if /sd-ext is mounted, "quick system info" under A2SD Storage should report Total and Free space, if it report "information not available" format sd-ext from recovery.

r3: improved installation process (i hope)
    r2: added data2sd and cache2sd as options
    r1: first release

    General App2SD Q&A:
    Q: A2SD is recommended?
A: Internal storage perform better than SD, install A2SD only when low disk space warning happen

Q: How to check if is working?
    A: run:
    adb shell
    df -h | grep /dev/block/mmcblk0p2

    output should be
    Code:
Filesystem Size Used Available Use% Mounted on
    /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 751.9M 146.9M 566.8M 21% /sd-ext
    /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 751.9M 146.9M 566.8M 21% /data/app
    /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 751.9M 146.9M 566.8M 21% /data/app-private
Q: I have installed a2sd addon but now i get low space warning again, why?
A: by default a2sd addon move only app, this is fine for most user but some user with more application have to move also cache and/or data.
    Cache2SD can be enabled with
    adb shell
    /sd-ext/userinit.d/10cache2sdext-binds enable

    Data2SD
    adb shell
    /sd-ext/userinit.d/11data2sdext-binds enable

    reboot when prompted

    HBOOT
All alpharev's hboot are compatible except the oxygen version
    CM7 version is recommended ~270MB for app (stock 110MB, N1 195MB)

130/5/302 hboot is available on alpharev site
this hboot require nightly #18 or newer

this is the alpharev instruction, extended for user who already have cm7 and want to change partition layout without wipe (just slight changes on point 6):

    1) Nandroid backup in recovery.
    2) Verify the MD5SUM of the file you downloaded against the one in the table.
    3) Flash HBOOT with your phone in fastboot mode (Back+POWER) -> 'fastboot flash hboot bravo_alphaspl.img' (change into the correct filename for the HBOOT you downloaded)
    4) 'fastboot reboot-bootloader'
    5) 'fastboot erase cache'
    6) Boot recovery, wipe everything, advanced restore system & data, install CM7 again (same version or a newer).

Big thank's to ieftm & kmdm

    new semi-official nightly build
(to replace the buildbot auto builds)

    mirror1: cm_bravo_full_teamdesire-20110601-1925.zip size: 84M (88037737 bytes)

have fun with this - lets hope official nightlies are soon back. after 2nd hdd crash in about 2 month, chris is doing durability tests with the new harddisks first - to make sure, they dont crash again in near future.

btw: if you refer to this later on, remember, those links are on first page, third post - much more easy to find than "search a few pages back" :)

btw2: you bravo guys do a LOT more downloads than i get on my ace and vega builds - thats why i included bravo in todays build cycle - even though i gotta hit a civ5 lan at friends :) time to go now...

my dear old bravo friends, i miss you! unfortunately time doesn't allow to read this thread too often. so much happening here. see my current primary project in signature to get a clue what keeps me busy most :)

but since no nightlies for 3 days, i remembered you and myself some months back. and i remembered how this would have driven me insane.

    get my nightly build here:
    cm_bravo_full_teamdesire-20110326-1142.zip md5sum: c38983df1fe50c1c511b18fd03b31d55

even though i got no bravo to test, i am pretty confident it should work as intended! just handle it like any other nightly you usually flash.

for the people that dont know me: i started my android career with a bravo device which i later sold and used the money to buy a (very cheap) ace/desire hd.
i am a cm dev for a while and a member of teamdouche. so i usually know what i am doing. i only do those builds for ace and bravo in case there was no nightly and i got the time to build/upload one.
the reasoning is simple: i was nightly addicted, too. and it sucks to have no build in the morning. especially for multiple days.
