Preface:
  • This is a custom 3.0.8 kernel developed for Android Jellybean 4.x and build for multiple Sony 2011 devices
  • It is based on CAF kernel and is kept as clean as possible while maintaining working hardware
  • Other Android versions are also bootable, but are not widely tested

Features:
  • Pure CAF 3.0.8 kernel
  • Full hardware support ;)

Defaults:
  • IO scheduler: ROW

Requirements:
  • Unlocked bootloader
  • Fastboot

Install:
  • Backup
  • Download the kernel file for your device from the list that follows and flash it:
    adb reboot bootloader
    fastboot flash boot <image file>
    fastboot reboot​
  • Now you should be seeing the coolest kernel boot animation

Downloads:

3.0.8
smultron
mango
satsuma
coconut




Uninstall:
  • Flash back to stock using SUS or flash another kernel

Hello nAa. Congratulations and many many thanks for bringing 3.x kernel to our 2011 MDPI devices and congratulations to me for owning a Smultron! :laugh:

not working on coconut either.
gives a blank screen and flickers.

this is a ramdisk problem, i compiled for coconut and it gave the same behavior when i used the ramdisk from cm10 or the one from nAa's .32 kernel.
it worked with the ramdisk generated by the build, but that did not contain the recovery.

With JellyVanilla EX same problem like with your 2.6.32 kernel - stuck at ROM bootanimation. :(

The only visual big I find is that the gradients are not being rendered properly
They come in lines instead of one smooth thing


Edit:
The BT still doesn't work on PAC 4.2.2
I think ROM needs changes now

    Good news: 3.4 kernel seems to have stabilized. I'm not seeing any unexpected reboots or stuff like that.

    I have no idea how it works on other devices besides smultron, so the first build is gonna be a shot in the dark for them :)
