CodeG is the best application that to explore google doodle, in widget and notification dropdown window!
Do you check on google main page icon? Thats google doodle!

Worldwide doodle is live! Custom doodle as notification and widget are doable now!

Put your custom frame file on CodeG folder on internal sdcard(CodeG will create it for you), rename the file as 'notification.png' for notification and 'widget.png' for widget to use custom frame.

thanks for your download and suggestion,
what do u mean by the high quality picture? u mean actually download the pic or the image in app?
if u mean the in app image, it gets the image directly from google to device, so it should display the same quality as google

Nice idea, but the background should be transparent, not white (unless the screenshots on OP are old or there is a settings for that).

which background u mean? the main screen on app or doodle on notification/widget?

the widget one, i fill with the image only, the white background you see is the original doodle image
in the notification, i fill with white, because most google doodle is major white background, so i fill the white at right hand side, but i can try make it transparent see if it would make it nicer

I really like this idea. One suggestion, can you do it sort of like when you go to Google's home page? Have a box below you can click in and search for something? It would be neat to have a doodle of the day on my home screen that I could search from. I have attached a picture to show sort of what I'm talking about. Also would be nice if it went edge to edge as a widget

Are your colors backwards on the pin?

White pins, red removes. (or is my colors off)

I'm having widget issues. Keeps crashing my launcher. Its probably my launcher. I'm using Atom Launcher (testing for educational purposes) and will load up my Nova and see if it works that way.

Thanks dev, I'm a big fan of the doodle and often go to Google from Chrome just to see it.

looks good but i wont install yet. :S
seems like on play store, there are comments about not able to swipe it off in the notification bar.

once that's fixed i'll install
