Hi Daekin,
do you have network stats working with 1.3 version (/proc/net/xt_qtaguid/stats)? Is xt_qtaguid filter working for you? BetterBattery Stats application is using /proc/net/xt_qtaguid/stats to show the network usage.
Do you get something from:
shell@android:/proc/net/xt_qtaguid $ cat stats

Regards!

Request for assistance

Anybody who have version 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2:
Can you upload it here?

I do not have compiled versions anymore...
(I could compile from git history but I want exactly old published builds)

Many thanks.

In addition to Daekin's post about this new Q&A/T thread for his Kernel, I want to explain to you as posters the purpose of this thread:

"Hi dear followers of this KERNEL,

in this post I will explain the goal of this specific thread created for this KERNEL with the permission of the Developer of this specific KERNEL

This is a statement made in the Q&A/T template thread:
"While our forum has slowly been morphing, the one area we would like to keep original is Development

The goal is to alleviate the OT banter that occurs within any kernel thread. While the XDA forum continues to grow, we need to help users work within the guidelines created by XDA. Over the last couple of years the average kernel being created, has become a free for all chat thread. There tends to be much infighting and mod/developer cleaning.

The idea of this template is to create a Questions and Answers for each kernel. This is in no way asking for Development to be moved here, rather any and all conversation that is non Development related to your conjoined Q&A."

This means that non-development related posts, should be posted - with the permission of the Dev - in this thread. What are the most common Off Topic posts, that should be posted in this Q&A/T thread?
1. Battery life related posts
2. Will this app work with this KERNEL
3. SD Card related problems
4. How do I dowmload and install this kernel, etc

Hope to have given you enough information,

kindest regards, Kuzibri"

What to do with debatable OT posts?

Hi All Followers of this KERNEL,

a certain post of a member of one of my Dev's ROM for whom I created a Q&a/T thread set me to think and reconsider what kind of posts is OT or not and how to deal with that.

It is not my intention to be overly strict about what is or is not an OT post, you should decide before you post whether you think it is OT. Consider whether the development of the KERNEL is helped by your post. Consider also whether someone in the future, searching through the thread, would find your post useful or would it just take up bandwidth.
If there is any doubt as to whether a post is OT, i will not ask you for it to be moved.
If I do decide your post is OT, I will ask you to move it.
If you think it is not OT, please post your reasons in the Q&A thread for this KERNEL, quoting post number.
If I or the developer then agree with you, I will delete my post in the dev thread asking you to move it, and the post can stay.
I hope this makes it all clearer.

kindest regards, Kuzibri

Hi Daekin, I installed sense of eclipse yesterday with default kernel and got some reboots (I now realise this could be that I have a swap partition and it is being used). I did notice the high battery drain after a call (battery monitor widget never got below around -200). Today I tried v1.2 kernel and got the same. However v 1.3 gives me -10 as minimum after calls, so I think you have it fixed. I will see how it goes.
Nice ROM BTW, thanks:cool:

you're welcome, but please be more specific about the kernel versions :)

  • has after-call bug
1.2 was older, download link was removed but can be found in post from others.
  • has booting problems due to optimizations
  • does not has after-call bug
1.2_new is built from older versision than original 1.2

It was 1.3 new, but unfortunately after I received a call, I got high cpu and battery drain. Have attached dmesg and log, sorry they are big. Also 2 logs from sd.
Nand install, 100mb system, magldr, 45Mb cache, no zram (i do have swap partition still:eek:)

Hi my dear Deakin,

are you satisfied with the work I'm doing in the Q&A/T thread for your ROM and your own thread?

kindest regards, Kuzibri

    Eclipse Kernel 1.2

    OK, I gave up!
Since WiFi Tether is Open Source, I have forked the repository and altered its default configuration to work on HTC HD2 by default.

So I proudly give you new version of my kernel with nice AROMA installer.

    Happy flashing!

    Next steps:
    • create intelligent ZRAM installer
    • update Sense of Eclipse ROM
    • try to port faux123's audio driver enhancement
    • take a look at Sense 4 on HD2 ;)
    11
I think I wil soon fix the high CPU load. keep fingers crossed ;)
then I will release version 1.4 as last version of 2.6 kernel and will focuse on 3.x for sense 5
    8
The high battery drain in standby with Wifi was the reason why I didn't choose to keep the bcm4329_204 driver enabled. As you might remember, I had it enabled in my 0.1.6 version of my sense kernel. Unfortunately the battery drain is always around 25 - 35 mA in standby.
When it comes to lower battery consumption vs. native support of HTC's own apps I'll always choose the lower battery consumption. ;)

    Eclipse Kernel 1.2 BETA Test

    Hey guys, what's up!

I am about to upload new version. I am promoting 1.1 to stable version and 1.2 will be BETA since it includes experimental AROMA installer for configuring WiFi tethering.

I want one tester for each storage mode available on HD2 (compatible modes will be grouped together),
    namely (extracted form aroma-config):
    Code:
      "[B]AD2SDX Compatible[/B]", "Use /sd-ext/app and /sd-ext/data/data", 1,
      "[B]CronMod A2SD+ Compatible[/B]", "Use /sd-ext/app and /data/data", 0,
      "[B]DataOnEXT Compatible[/B]", "Use /sd-ext/app and /sd-ext/data", 0,
      "[B]NAND Compatible[/B]", "Use /data/app and /data/data", 0
I will post change log later with release, meanwhile you can look at my GitHub (it is there for a while now, since kernel itself was prepared quite long ago...
