More Multitasking , No Launcher Redraw on Stock Rom

Hi....just want to share...

i'm on stock .266 rom, lock bl, root, already remove bloatware...

Have problem with chrome browser ... i cant listen to poweramp or walkman while open chrome, the music suddenly stop in the midle of browsing..and after browsing the launcher sometimes redraw ..

solution : need root

1. open /system/build.prop

2. find this line , in # ADDITIONAL_BUILD_PROPERTIES

dalvik.vm.heapgrowthlimit=96m
dalvik.vm.heapsize=256m

change to :

dalvik.vm.heapgrowthlimit=64m
dalvik.vm.heapsize=192m

3. add this line ( make new line )

ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=1

don't forget to press enter / make 1 free empty line ( crusial )

4. reboot

Now i fell more fluid, even if you use live walpaper, listen to musik while using chrome, and no launcher redraw ...

And for more advanced ram manager, i find this ....

Actually this is what i had in my mind to change the values of heap size

Bro there are two lines
dalvik.vm.heapsize=36m
dalvik.vm.heapsize=256m

We need to change the one in additional build properties right?

I think its working.need proper testing though
Will it affect the battery life??

there is on 'additional build.prop' .... this is on stock .266 rom bro....

This does seem to work for me, I'm getting snappier system, less apps closing and big games don't close as often, however I am also using ram manager pro on hard multitasking so others may not get the same results

Work! In eXintenZ Ultra 2.1.5

Edit: OMG!!!It's great!!! Xposed active with Gravitybox, Xposed Led Control, GEM Xperia, Tinted Status Bar, YoutubeAdaway, Minminguard and Xperia Xposed. In multitasking Chrome, Walkman play, Youtube, Twitter, Tapatalk and Hangouts open 0 redraws!!!!
Edit2: After one pair of reboots in existenz redraw persist, im try install ultimate pure with native tweaks and work really good. Nice job dipesh!

even with that it still lags , is crazy how the devs always mess it up and let it to the mods to do the right job

try to open all apps....then browsing using chrome, open 5 tabs, while you listen to music...try to use live wallpaper to..
before, i always get music stop after 3 minute browsing..
after edit, the music dont stop, even after 15 minute browsing ... and feel a little bit snapier to...
just try, and if you dont like, just edit back ....

Thank you! but what I do not understand is where it says that we should drop a line to write to the file, which is very important.

you can write it in the last line, or as long as the line is in the build prop, it's ok ...

I searched long and hard on google and found that this "ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=1" is not going to affect anything. This used to work for GB2.3 but after that, its not going to do anything.

the heapsize and growthlimit might work though.

It's true, the vm tweaks however do work, still get redraws but apps stay open most of the time

I use Nova Launcher, and it comes with the option of persistence in memory. When activating these tweaks, Should I disable this option in the Launcher? When I going to the desktop launcher (the screen) is almost never redrawn, but often delayed return to the home screen or even the app drawer takes 5-10 seconds to appear. What am I doing wrong?

I thought it was the Google Now widget but I still have that problem.

I try this tweak in existenz and just a lil bit redraws persist. Install UltimatePure 1.01 is better, i got 7 modules active and work well.
