Is talk working for you now then?

To be honest I'm not bothered if mine works or not, more annoying is the regular alert sound and notification talk is creating that it can't sign in! Even after I seemingly removed it!

I'd give anything for this stock without Titanium and WhatsApp, and ES Explorer. Only SU.

Reading on web, a factory reset might solve the talk issue. Will try later, as it takes a while to get phone back to normal after.

Flashed this backup yesterday and been using it all day lonng today and it seems fine. As this is not my main phone I cleared up a lot more other apps from the rom with titanium and then performed a factory reset. All is running fine so far.

I've sorted it!!

I downloaded the gapps from cyanogenmod wiki thinking it would fix talk.
All it did was remove gmail altogether - still got talk errors.

As last resort tried a factory reset.

Talk now works, markets updates - ive opted not to download gmail, using k9 instead.

Aside from the language - only english option is english (french) this desont affect the dictionary as far as i can tell, all words are being guessed as normal.

Also, i changed the battery using uot kitchen as i prefer this one.

107mb free :D

Folks, what is battery life with this "not custom, but personal setup" :D rom ?

Same issue with dialer battery drain is or is not happening ?

bonjour,

je viens d'acheter un HTC Chacha il y a 2 semaine, j'ai commencé à l'étudier puis à congeler qq apps avec titanium backup pour le personnaliser.

J'ai ensuite voulu mettre la status bar en noire, j'ai écraser le fichier /system/framework/framework-res.apk et là boom patatra le HTC est presque "briqué".

Je dis presque car comme j'ai pu le unlocker via HTCDEV, installer CMW et le rooter, il me reste le bootloader (bouton power et vol-) mais rien de plus. Impossible de le faire repartir, meme en faisant un reset factory, il boucle sur le logo HTC quietly brillant.

Je suis à la recherche d'un moyen de le ré-installer (avec rom d'origine) ou avec une custom ROM mais avec le clavier AZERTY.

Si qq1 peux me venir en aide et me donner des pistes de travail ou des rom à télécharger, car là regarder mon CHACHA éteint cela me fait mal au coeur.

    Link2sd is installed and enabled for an ext2 partition (so use something like Mini Tool Partition wizard to format a first primary fat partition and a 2nd primary ext2 partition)

    How change the keyboard layout (you have to be root and system mounted as rw)

    Find your /system/user/keylayout/chacha-keypad-xxx.kl where xxx=your language
    copy in replace mode this file to /system/user/keylayout/chacha-keypad.kl

    Find your /system/user/keychars/chacha-keypad-xxx.kcm.bin where xxx=your language
    copy in replace mode this file to /system/user/keychars/chacha-keypad.kcm.bin
    Open this file with a text editor (I use rootexplorer) and change each key which is false : if your Z give a Y, go to the Z line and change it by Z (do it for each key which is a problem)

    How install

    This is a Clockworkmode backup, so unzip the zip a the root of your sd card, reboot in recovery and restore the backup ;)
