Strange note: k12n + all tweaks consumes about 2% of battery for hour when telephone is idle, but if I disable battery tweak in cwm, consumption is about 2% for 9 hours idle time.

Display settings in this version is very bad.
All superiority and power in the mobile display is blue
The settings that you would be like I'm a Villa with all amenities for living after going inside to buy a stock with a 40 watt bulb to live.
Enjoy the amenities that money you gave is the right of every Ansaty
Light Display in automatic mode is really awful! Always the man is the sun!
Light Display in automatic mode is really awful! Always the man is the sun!
In a room with normal lighting display is not at all good quality!
You are correct this problem or else forced to migrate to a kernel?

Whoa! Google Translate? But I think we get the message... ;)

I'm testing different settings now to make it more balanced.
EDIT: Please try the K12O-T3 version. It should be better.

Wow this is post 10001!

I don't know if it's kernel relevant,but there is an option to make the phone vibrate when the callee take the call. I like it but I found the vibration is too light to noticed, for people interressed: settings->calls->all call: vibrate...

Is there a way to make the vibrate stonger?

Test version K12O-T3:

- Brightness sensitivity at lowest end adjust to be more stable
- Some mic volume adjustments

Auto-brightness should be more balanced now.

JPE uses less battery than JPP, don't know about DDJP6. Any feedback?
Any one??
I'm testing ZSJPE. First impression: good signal quality . For battery drain give me a few days
PS. For my device kernel with timer 250HZ have better response (NOT lag fix only tweak installated).
Any info about battery drawning for JPE?
I think I found the process that is dreaming me down my battery:

system/bin/sensorserver_yamaha that is related to the compass.

I have Compass installed and enabled to have compass in Maps using SpareParts (last option in settings).

Is this the issue? Di you know something about this? Never checked without SpareParts or Compass before using OSMonitor, but never had any battery drawning like this before flashing SoeedMod kernel.

Ps: I really would like to see the compass icon in Maps... I installed Compass because I needed to have a compass app also for personal use out of the Maps app, but I don't really really like it because it wants also Catch installed to work correctly. Do you know an alternative and maybe better and lighter app to work as simple compass, that works in Maps too?

Any idea about the sensor for compass issue??

About setting up correctly SpeedMod: in .:Crack:. 's post he says his:
and here are my screenshots
What I did:
CWM\Speedmod ULK\Lagfix\Disable Then (still in Lagfix) Advanced custom conversion\ -> DATA_FS, CACHE_FS, DBDATA_FS -> ext4nj
After that go back to \Lagfix\Ext4 mount options\Use FASTER mount ops
And i use all Tweaks exept that one that says (not recommended).

After all this "reboot system now".

Do you mean that you get those scores with the lagfix DISABLED??

Why don't you convert in ext2 the LOOP caches?? Here on italian forums alot of people advise to do that, and so to have this:

DATA_FS=ext4
CACHE_FS=ext4
DBDATA_FS=ext4
DATA_LOOP=ext2
CACHE_LOOP=ext2
DBDATA_LOOP=ext2
BIND_DATA_TO_DBDATA=false

How do you see this??

Hc, thanks again for your persistance!
Sadly, I'm still getting the lowest level sitting in my living room, or any other room that is illuminated by artificial light only. I just found out something else: it doesn't really matter if I switch on more lights, the phone stays at level 1 = dark. Can't test with natural light anymore, it's already dark out!

    Hi people. This kernel aims to be fast, compatible, stable, and have good battery life. It makes our Galaxy S run the way it should.

    This kernel is for the International Galaxy S (I9000) and Bell Mobility Vibrant (I9000M)

    The SpeedMod kernel for the AT&T Captivate is available here: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=893880

    Note: Only lagfixes using EXT4 are robust. Other lagfixes run the risk of data loss on freezing, hard-reboots, or sudden power loss.

    WARNING: Before you try any lagfix, make sure that you have enough free space on your Internal SD. You should have at least more free space than data+dbdata+cache combined.

    Latest K13E (12-Apr) - Voodoo Sound v7. Lowmemorykiller fixes. Improved display sharpness using AMOLED processing mode in MDNIE. Support for voice calls through headphones. Check here for more info and downloads.

    --------------------------------

    FOR BEGINNERS:

    This kernel is based on sztupy's Universal Lagfix: Lagfix and root options are accessible by booting into the Recovery Menu.

    To get the best speed, it is recommended that you enable all Tweaks from the Recovery Menu. Tweaks are under SpeedMod features. Info on Tweaks: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=813309

    How to root: http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=8896862&postcount=90

    Kernel HZ value: HZ=500 is smoother, HZ=256 is Samsung default.

    About USB Mounts:

    >>> Click here to download the USB mount fixes. Latest SpeedMod versions do not need this fix. The fix is for using K12E or older with 2.2 ROMs. It fixes the problem where Internal SD mounts as a read-only drive on the PC, or if the External SD does not get mounted.

    On 12A, the battery seems better - but only marginally so - i still see Wifi using 35% on a mostly idle phone. If I remember right, the previous usage used to be around 5% - definitely single digit. Something is still wrong with wifi with JPY ROM/Modem....
    Its not the ROM or modem. I think its the new Wifi firmware. I've started a thread to collect Wifi firmware versions.

    http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=885903

    In the meantime, if you want u can experiment. I've created update.zip packages to update/overwrite the wifi firmware (it's in /system/etc/wifi).

    You can try to use the older (DXJPA) wifi firmware and see how that does in terms of power.
    If you don't like it, you can put back the XXJPY wifi firmware with the other package.

    Let me know your findings, if u try it out.

    DXJPA wifi firmware is working fine with my XXJPY rom. Gonna check out the battery usage.

    FYI:
    DXJPA: Firmware version = wl0: Jun 4 2010 14:21:21 version 4.218.214.3
    XXJPY: Firmware version = wl0: Nov 16 2010 08:56:21 version 4.218.250.38

    K12U was just out, but here is K13A-T1!

    Changes:
    - Single version for neutral/cold/warm color, selectable from Recovery
    - Option to disable darkest auto-brightness level, selectable from Recovery
    - Minor optimizations to brightness sensor driver

    Otherwise it is the same as K12U.

    SpeedMod + Voodoo Sound test version!

    K12L-T5:

    Changes from K12K:
    - Improvements to FM Radio sound: remove Dynamic Range Compression
    - Voodoo Sound v1: FM radio bass fix, controllable headphone output via app
    - rear speaker volume +1 for media
    - light sensor polling interval changed to 2s instead of 0.5s
    (saves battery, more stable brightness levels)
    - light sensor sensitivity adjusted so that the screen doesn't turn bright so easily
    (saves battery and reduces screen burn)
    - adjustments to IO Tweak (super smooth now!)
    - changed battery level polling interval to 60 seconds, from 5 seconds

    Note that you need Supercurio's Voodoo app to adjust the headphone level. If u don't install it, the default level is the same level as K12K (+1 from Nexus S, or +3 from SGS).

    PS. The FM radio sound is really awesome after those voice filters have been removed!
