Hello,

I want to share my firmware files. So here is the standard FTF file for the german SGP311: [click] [click2]
MD5 F2E1786CA1632EDA5097A24EFAFFC73D

I also rooted the firmware following the thread of [NUT] : [click]

So for rooted 4.3 you will need these files: [click] [click2]

MD5 for FTF 091714BF9B1C67957B4EC22774043F34
MD5 for zip 23075426FAE5D117A9CBA7BC338A1D10

To install you need to be rooted and have a recovery installed (for example Dual Recovery, again by [NUT]:

Unpack the zip so you get two files: Annother zip and an ftf file
Put the zip on your sd card
Flash the zip via recovery
In recovery shut down
Start flashtool. Get your tablet into flashmode and flash the stripped FTF provided
After flashing finished, enjoy rooted Tablet

The files are tested and okay. But I am not responsible if you brick your tablet.

No, its the oiriginal ftf from the pc companion. And its for SGP311, so as far as I know there are no branded firmwares for, because it has no lte module. In other words: Yes, it is unbranded.

Thanks for the procedure.. I have one favor to ask, can you upload the stripped ftf file only...? i am having problem downloading the whole .109 firmware due to its size..

.. hope you can upload it here....

I guess all I need are just stripped ftf of .109 and the recovery zip of .109 firmware to be rooted in the latest .109 firmware since i'm already rooted and has recovery in .577 4.3...

Please report if it worked. I dont think that flashing the stripped ftf alone will be enough. At least you will stay with the old kernel. I recommed doing the whole procedure.
Also I cannot upload anything at the moment because I am on vacation.

To the guy who does not know how it works: I can write a more detailed guide when I am back. For the moment You should read my post again. You can find every information you need in this forum. Have a closer look at the development section. There should be a thread about how to root 4.3 with locked bootloader.

what i will do later will be:

1.) Put the zip to the sdCard and flash it using CWM.
2.) Power it off. and flash the stripped ftf using flashtool.
3.) then Reboot...

hope it will work, it works fine before from .370 (US ftf) to .577 (Nordic ftf)...I am currently rooted at 4.3 .577.
will update later...Btw, thanks again for the files... :good:

Edited: Confirmed!!! It works using above procedure. apps and data still there and fine,...Now running .109 4.3 firmware. Thanks.

I think you extracted the .rar 1 & 2 incorrectly. to unpacked it correctly, highlight both .rars part1 and part2 then right click to "extract to" or "extract here" using 7zip( or whatever unpacking software you have)...

It works for me. Try with Total Commander, open part1 and copy files, TC will join parts and copy on the fly. After that check MD5.

I used this method to update my tablet and gain root successfully! Thanks!

I used this thread in the past to root my tablet: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2590602 and I used it again to flash the recovery needed to flash this ROM. If you don't have a custom recovery you can flash the bin file from the above thread..

I have a FTF file but no separate smaller zip file. I don't know what to do next!
I have flash tool installed...
Is Fastboot? mode enabled (get-into) by pressing the volume up key at the same time as you plug in a usb cable?
Please help!

1.) I suggest you simply flash 10.1.C.0.370 firmware and root it using the attached file below.
2.) install the latest dual recovery by NUT.
3.) then follow this:

two important things, you should be rooted and has a recovery installed before proceeding the update and retain the root .

Went from a rooted 4.3 to this new version with keeping root. Both zip files extracted just fine.
