First of all thank you and ktp1976 for answering.. Ok now i'm re-download everything from your thread and try it again.. I saw redpill kernel yesterday while i was searching is there any siyah kernel for note 2.. I luvved siyah kernel on my sgs2 but unfortunately there isn't one for it and developer wrote he will not wrote any version of siyah kernel for note series anytime soon.. so while i was looking for a kernel written by a suggested developer from gokhanmoral i came across to it.. the thing is i never have used any kernels double rom features or try to overlock any of my devices, i tried custom roms like miui, cyanogen, lightning on sgs2 but there was always a downside of all of the custom roms and every single time i've re-return to stock roms.. and while using stock roms i don't need any cutting edge features of advanced kernels i just need root permissions for using TitaniumBackup, Root Explorer and ROM ToolBox.. so that is the reason why i didn't try to have an advanced kernel.. Still if you are saying i will need it i will give it a shot.. :) I'll report after.. :fingers-crossed:

For the moment im running stock rom too :) , but custom kernel is always better ;) , cause i love extreme undervolting, try it you will like it for sure :) . Ill be making some tutorial on how to undervolt safely too!

Interesting binary counter..

Yes, yesterday night i backed up and re-root my note 2.. First I was following Chayangkul99's guide way no:1 but i have failed to reset my counter.. After half a hour and 4 root, un-root, re-root, etc; the solution came itself.. :D For that time being i thought what the heck it's not working anyway and i decide to follow dr. ketan's guide(http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1896696) by rooting way no:2 after all was done i downloaded redpill kernel and put it on my phones memory, and uplied zip under firmware mode and tadaaa redpill kernel was installed.. After I was done I turned phone on, installed TriangleAway from market, opened TriangleAway(and get shocked by no download requirement), my counter status was 5 so i resetted it.. Nothing gone wrong.. Now the interesting part begins.. When i want to check on download mode i saw neither my counter has raised nor my status was custom.. :D i read about everywhere people who hasn't use CF Auto Root gets binary status custom and they can't use Kies updates anymore.. and there was one more thing i was suprised.. i didn't check auto reset counter option but no matter how many times turn on and off and on again counter doesn't raises.. I've read somewhere about a chip(or a program i can't recall which) on note 2 and sgs3 searches for custom binary particules on every start-up and that's the reason counter always raises to 1.. but in my case counter doesn't raises.. i don't get why but i'm happy now.. :D by the way it would be nice to have such a guide, even though my battery life is excellent for now and i don't need to undervolt for now i can predict not in a long future battery stats will go crazy and i'll have to undervolt.. ;) So for now i set superuser to
deny sTweak's root access..

Hi, very happy to see you beable to reset the counter now :) i personally rooted my device using the second method to, never really liked to use cf-auto root. You should use stweaks as it works very good with the kernel, i currently set my max clock rate to 1704 and did extreme undervolting, my battery life is now still very good :) btw i will now put the second rooting method as the first one as i think it should work better than the first one :)

Hi there.

Since installing ARHD, I couldn't find anymore an option to show only contacts with a phone number in the contacts app. I'm pretty sure it was in a menu inside it before.

Has it moved somewhere else, is it really off or am I THAT blind?

Ok, I´m completely Noob, on n7100.

I Was An Optimus 2X user for a Year and with it I changed Roms/ Kernels many times...

So, I intend to do the same on N7100, I think that custom rom uses a LOT of RAM, many things could be taken off :)

So, I´m in Brazil, and My phone is made HERE, I posted a picture with its information(BB/Kernel/Build).

My question is, Can I put ANY custom rom as I used to do on optimus 2X, or on note 2 i have to use specifics roms acording to the model Build ??

Thanks guys...

Why should it "work better"? What reasons do you have to assume this?

"I think it should work better" is bull, to be honest. Give real and reproducible reasons, or you're just guessing.

I personally have used both method, and the second method install the cwm for you too, the method is what people normally use, but cf-autoroot is trying to make it as close as stock as possible, having cwm is much better than the stock recovery, you can do much more things :)

i made a thread here : http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?p=35740133#post35740133

About my screen flickering problem in note2.

Sorry for noob question but what is color setting i cant find in my mobile. Is it a app ? if so link please

Hii, you can just go to the setting=>display=>screen mode and set it to a cooler color, if you want a custom color profile you will need a mod that support it :)

I am not really sure about this problem, as i myself didnt try arhd for quite a while now, but i think the problem might be rom specific, so please contact the dev of the rom :)

You have to use custom rom that is made for your device, so in this case your phone is the n7100(note 2 international model) so you will need to use rom that is made for n7100, just look around in the N7100 development section and you will find many roms there :)

Ok, I Was in doubt about the Build version, if it could influence the process.

Do you know if when I flash the Rom on this note2, the BB is changed to or BB is Always kept when you install a Custom ?

I´d like to keep the BB, on optimus 2x , you had to change the BB whith smartfhash, the rom in .zip format didn´t touch the BB at all.

Thanks man.

I am using the stock rom that came with the Note 2.
Also, I am wondering if I can do allmost everything from the computer, like wiping the data etc.
As I am visually impaired I have been searching for different methods of flashing the device without having to do anything on the phone itself.
After the rom is installed I will be able to start the setup on the phone and configure it using Talkback, the screen reader for Android.
Many thanks for any help!

People actually like to flash custom rom on phone and not odin because it does increase the counter, if you want to flash something try and use mobile odin, it is quite useful you only need root and not cwm recovery :) there is also option to keep root, it is quite useful if you do not want to lose root when trying new rom :)

Best/Stable/Right ROM for Galaxy Note 2

Hi. Am currently on Android Revolution HD 5.0 ROM for my Samsung Galaxy Note 2. I was just wondering if this is the best/stable ROM for my phone as I am quite puzzled because of the many ROMs (AR HD versions like 6.0 and others) available out there.

Kindly advise. Thanks in advance.

Hi, i will check about the custom rom from you, but i know that redpill kernel will fix that so maybe you could try flashing it :)
Edit: i have seen that jellybam also include the fix, but flashing kernel would be alot easier than rom (if you still want to stay on the same rom and not losing data)

    ASK THE QUESTION [NOOB FRIENDLY]

I am not a full time developer! So do not request any roms or apps from me. I only make roms for my self and friends. :)

This thread is created to help members [noobs] to understand more about android and the device itself.

I decided to create this thread because the developers already have enough work to do, they wont be able to answer all questions from members [noobs]. :)
I only owns the N7100 (galaxy note international model), but i will try by best to answer all of your questions using my experiences :) .

I'm having a great amount of trouble with my GN2 since i upgraded to my official 4.4.2 ROM via odin, most of the time when the device locks the screen it won't open again, no matter how much u wait or press the home button or the lock button again the display never wakes up again and then i have to keep pressing the lock button to reboot the phone, There seems nothing to b triggering this problem. It occurs randomly, Not associated with heavy usage or anything, I just don't know what's triggering it. ITS SO ANNOYING, when it occurs the alarms won't ring either, Even if i got a call the screen won't show it, Only black lighted screen... Kitkat is really bad upgrade

The device is: GT-n7100 running this flashed ROM N7100XXUFND4, Its my official one.
    Thanks in advance

Iam suffering from the same thing... Let me know if u could solve it.

    Thanks for not helping...

What you're experiencing seems to be a sleep of death, where the phone, after entering deep sleep, fails to wakes up even when there's user input (i.e. pressing buttons). This usually occurs if one underclocks one's phone too much. Try installing Trickstermod, under Specific there's a Touch Wake option.

Personally I haven't encountered this problem, but I read about it in the AGNi kernel 4.4.2 purestock thread, which I have installed.

    Thank me pls

Hey. I'm have been having some problems ever since I rooted my phone (Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100). And I've been told that I might find the solution here. I've explained everything in this thread. http://xdaforums.com/general/xda-assist/cwm-recovery-problems-supersu-t2892020 I really need to get done with this . Your help will me much appreciated. Thanks.

If you are on 4.4, the method you tried might not work.

Method given below works for 4.4 and 4.3. Not sure about 4.1.2

Anyways, flash Philz recovery latest via ODIN.

    Here is the Link: https://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/n7100/philz_touch_6.26.6-n7100.tar.md5/

    Wait for green pass.

    Now download SuperSu flashable zip

    http://download.chainfire.eu/452/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.02.zip

Store the file on phone int.sd / ext.sd

    Enter recovery using key combination.

Once inside Philz, choose "install as zip" , select the supersu zip and flash.

    Reboot the device.

Open play store and update supersu if required.

Don't forget to press thumbs up if u found my suggestions helpful.

Allegedly there actually is some method to reset Knox counter on the devices with Exynos.
    Don't ask me, use google.

    tetakpatalked from N7100

Unfortunately that method and flashing the knox reset zip is JUST for the note 3. Not any any other device.

    Well here you go...

How to Reset knox on Note 3 Exynos.

I dont need google for this, fortunately XDA gave me a search option :)
