[Q] Update to 4.3

Hi, I am really new here so I hope this is the right place to ask this:
I got a Note II I317 with Android 4.1.2 and I wanto to Update to 4.3 I was reading this post http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2589891, and almost everything is clear but this part:

"For completeness's sake I've included separate packages for the ucubmk6 modem and stock kernel & recovery.

My questions is:

Do I have to install with ODIN the modem, kernel , Recovery, CWM and TWRP Files?

Or just the odexed and bootloaders files? (My phone doesn't have the MK6 bootladoer)

Hi again, I installed the ROM and everything is working perfect except the battery, with the new ROM only lasts 8 or 9 hours and it used to work like 24 hours.
What do I need to do to make the battery work like before??
