Hey folks I have a few Tasker questions and I don't see a recent thread for this awesome app. I have found some threads that suggest profiles to download. I would rather tinker and learn how to build them myself.
For instance I am looking to save a little battery life at work where I have an incredibly weak cell signal. My phone drains itself trying to connect/reconnect to the towers all day long. My thought was to have Tasker put my phone in airplane mode when I am at work by using the neighbor's secured wifi as a trigger. I can't use my phone at work so this seems like it would be an acceptable state to leave my phone in for 8 hours. Obviously I could turn it off, but I use it occasionally during breaks, mostly for offline stuff. My question is whether I will drain my battery by having Tasker constantly checking to see if the condition of my profile (near Wifi) is satisfied.
