Got SOD again :(
And I had uninstalled most of my sw.

Tried the above code : said invalid code.
Didn't work.

Installed CWM, did factory reset : still didn't:( erase all data on sdcard !

edit :
I used Odin to go back to ICS.
Then I installed again JB OTA. (wich failed previous time, maybe because I hadn't enough space on sdcard0 ?)
My previous directories on /storage/sdcard0 are still here. Neither factory erase, not ICS and JB installation removed them.
Let's see if I get SOD again (freeze in black screen), I'll try to debug with ADB next time if it happens.

Wipe or no Wipe

Hello,

After a OTA upgrade my phone enter un bootloop. I think, i will try re-flash with Odin. I want try to flash it, on more time, without Wipe data. Can someone say me if, the Sammobile Rom version I9100GXXLSR is no-wipe ?

Same problem. I try to reflash 2 times but some time phone still dead. When flash rom via odin, something not sussecc.

I used Odin the first time to flash sammobile XXLSR version. It is no wipe (read above my issues : I was looking for a wipe version)
You had LBE privacy guard ? That makes the bootloops.
Did you try a factory reset in recovery menu ?

Ah ah ! I'm not the only one.
Since tuesday, no SOD yet.(I had 2 per weeks before)
I did factory reset, went back to ICS, did JB upgrade OTA. (which wasn't the process I used before : JB upgrade with Odin)
Installed only very few software.
Maybe the biggest change :I'm not root anymore at the moment : are you rooted ?

Sorry it was not a 4.0.4, it was : France 2012 July 4.0.3 I9100GXXLPY I9100GXEFLPY

Since tuesday : no more SOD. (the biggest difference is that my device isn't rooted)
I'll wit a bit more (a little week) to see if I still don't get SOD, and then I'll root again.

You didn't answered to my previous question : are you rooted ?

No i didn't had LBE installed.
I haven't yet proceed a factory reset. I'll try to make a second flash via Odin.

Hi,

Just for the info, i never had any sod ... i've updated my phone in jb via ota

Maybe try to install 4.0.4 french version, root it if you want, and update via ota

My 4.0.4 was rooted ... after the update i kept the root

My S2 i9100G runs I9100GXXLSR (4.1.2). Battery drains100%-89% from 0:00am to 7:00am,3G, wifi, It"s normal or drain quickly? Thanks

    Instructions For Flashing ICS:
    • Extract the firmware
    • Open the included Odin
    • Put your device in Recovery MODE (Home + Volume up + Power)

    flashed in Malaysia, over KL3 successful. Rooted via http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1679778 method 2, successful.

    After flashing with ODIN all application remained. My brother's one was a funny situation, Log provide did respond or something, had to factory reset. RAM is at 687mb.

    Otherwise, everything fine. NBA Jam, slightly sluggish. Need to see if Chainfire 3d works on this baby, on ICS. Alhamdulilah.
