@Aryanjain---considering your urgency and the desire to retain your warranty etc,I'd suggest you get this done by SE spending that Rs.150 but please ask them that you would get the latest firmware which is 2.1.1.A.0.6.This is the second update that most of us in India have got so far.
As for your fears ,Bin4ry is damn good at what he releases but now is not the time to dabble around especially since you have a Vista.
Get your update,enjoy your Eclair for a while meanwhile reading this forum in some detail before beginning to experiment with your phone.Perhaps you can also get XP going in your PC in the meantime.
One other thing---this is a solid phone and unless you use a hammer on it or dip it in boiling water,nothing will go wrong with it and you can always restore it to working condition!

Help in update of xperia x10 mini (E10i)

Hello guys!!!

Actually i come back and sathkarta tried to helped me but still i did not got the solution he is right at his point but i do not have urgency as i simply want to upgrade my phone on my own yes as sathkarta told me go through to this forum and search for the topics you need for update i read many things that makes me confident that i cant break my phone because you people are great and helps us immediately.

Now, My problem is that How to update with bin4ry tool and how i got my firmware which is 2.1.1.A.0.6 from this forum . All this i have to do is on vista ultimate because i cant change back to xp or else.

I also searched this forum and googled that many people update their phones on vista os i dont know how they did it......
It's May be because i m not able to understand the steps.
Please anybody here can help me how to update via vista os using SEUS or Pc Companion ( as i don't want to break my warranty) i have good broadband . So all is missing is that just proper steps...........
Please Help Me......... I will be thankful to that person...:)

Err, I need a bit of help. When I open the flashtool.exe, I get this "Archive auto-extractible WinRAR" window that's in a foreign language. What button should I click and what driecory to save it to? Thanks!

You can just right click the package and extract it where you want.
But else chose your destination in the "Dossier de destination" and press the "Extraire"

does somebody knows where can i get latest E10A firmware? SEUS' telling me i have the latest available but i don't, i'm using the very first 2.1 update

Hi I'm from Australia. My X10 Mini Pro is U20i baseband 015 but build number 504. Would like to upgrade to a.0.6 from a.0.504. After downloaded the latest flashtool 0.2.9.x and the firmware U20i_2.1.1.A.0.6_Baseband_015.7z. Flashed and no errors. however rebooted the phone, nothing happened - still the same build number. Could someone pls help to give a direction to flash the build number to a.0.6 so I can upgrade the phone to 2.3.x from 2.1update1? Thanks in advance.

experts.I got a problem.by mistake I flashed x10i firmware to e10i.after that I flashed correct firmware and updated using Seuss.but my network is gone.it is not refreshing mobile signal.always rescue symbol on the top.what to do.any solution for this.please help me

Downloaded flasher.

Added this Download X10 mini 2.1 2.1.1.A.0.6 firmware:

(CANT ADD THE LINK - NEW MEMBER :eek: )

extracted this firmware file which all opens into SIN files...

open FLASHER click Flash,and try to find the folder for firmware and flasher is unable to find the SIN files..........

How can i do this?

Help meeeeeeeeeeeeee ;)

Hi, I tried to do this steps but I haven't see your note to "WIPE USER DATA" and my cellphone is in loop...

There's a way to recover it???

    I went to bed. Kinda gave up. But i couldn't fall asleep. So got out of bed and tried a few times more. After 10 tries it worked!!! I had to hit exacly the correct moment to enter flashmode. :) :) :)

    I now got android 2.1 after 3 days of struggling. WHAT A RELEIF! hahaha

    Thank you everyone for help specially you Bin4ry. :) I cant explain how happy i am. :)

    Now i can finally rest in peace....i mean just rest.....just rest... hehe :)
