Re: [KERNEL][TMO][AOSP/Touchwiz][JELLYBEAN & ICS][2/8/2013] KT747 - LJ7 - KTweaker

I'm getting very high kernel usage in gsam battery monitor. I looked for qosmgr in system/bin and can't find it. I am on the new liquid smooth rc1. Any ideas?

This only applies if you are on a TW JB ROM and plan to use ktoonserative. Give it some time to settle. Should be better in a while.

I don't fully know how the undervolting works. I have no idea what those values mean.

One of our users with your kernel broke 5 hours screen time. Absolutely amazing kernel!

Unbelievable... First charge with ktoonsez on the new liquid smooth... I have never seen battery life like this before. This is with the stock battery... Overnight I lost about 1.5% per hour. Screen time is ridiculous. That is active screen time too, watching an hour of streaming video, Facebook, texts, lots of xda, reddit etc. I am baffled. Only thing I did was under volt 100 across the board.

I was using this on CM10.1 before the update to 4.2.2. Will it still work on the new version?

Works perfectly :good:

Seconded.

Works flawlessly on Liquid 4.2.2, currently using pegasusq/row and its a mixture of speed, battery and stability. Call quality is great, scrolling speed depends on which governor. Remember, if you have a scrolling problem change your current governor.

I changed the following 2 days ago for some testing and loving them:

boost_turn_on_2nd_core = 1
cpu_down_block_cycles = 0 (this one is the key to speed and the code I added a few weeks ago is making this really possible)
no_2nd_cpu_screen_off = 1
up_threshold = 57
up_threshold_hotplug = 58

Went to sleep last night with 99% left, woke up almost 8 hours later and it was at 95%.

Used the phone all day from 6am till now 7pm and still have 68% left, lots of talk time, 1.2 hours of screen time, 30 emails or so, 30 texts :D

Give them a try:good:

Default settings for up_threshold and up_threshold_hotplug are 67 & 68, rest are what you listed. Should I keep them at 67 & 68 or put them at 57 & 58 like you said? Used57 & 58 on your last update...battery was beyond amazing

ktoonservative Battery Control and Screen OFF Scheduler

ktoonservative Battery Control

battery_ctrl_batt_lvl_high = Set this to a % of battery left you want to trigger a different Mhz

battery_ctrl_mhz_lvl_high = Set this to the Mhz you want to set once battery remaining is less than or equal to "battery_ctrl_batt_lvl_high"

battery_ctrl_batt_lvl_low = Set this to a % of battery left you want to trigger a different Mhz

battery_ctrl_mhz_lvl_low = Set this to the Mhz you want to set once battery remaining is less than or equal to "battery_ctrl_batt_lvl_low"

Example (these are my settings):
battery_ctrl_batt_lvl_high = 40
battery_ctrl_mhz_lvl_high = 1080000
battery_ctrl_batt_lvl_low = 15
battery_ctrl_mhz_lvl_low = 810000

Screen OFF Scheduler
Under "Extras->Screen Off Profile Sched" in KTweaker I am setting it to "noop"

Re: [KERNEL][TMO][AOSP/Touchwiz][JELLYBEAN & ICS][2/19/2013] KT747 - LJ7 - KTweaker

I only saw 4.1 options earlier now a 4.2, or was I blind earlier? Either way flashing now :). 4.2 kernel is fine for me no issues at all yet.
