Dear all,

After reading countless threads over the last couple of days, I'm lost so looks like I have to post.

My questions is how can I change this:

1) Which is the Splash screen and which is the boot screen? Is the Splash screen the one with the "Samsung Galaxy Note GT N-7000" logo and the boot screen the one with the animated Samsung logo?

2) Which method is used to replace the Splash screen? Is it http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1136699&highlight=boot+splash+screen&pp=50 or this method http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1435766&highlight=stock+boot

3) Can be screen with the Samsung logo be replaced? From my research I take it there is no way to edit or create a QMG file except by replacing it with another QMG file. Is this correct?

4) Also to use any bootanimation.zip, I will have to flash a custom kernel that allows the usage of this file. It does not work on the stock kernel. Is this correct?

I'm running Rooted ICS 4.0.3 stock rom, kernel and recovery.

Thanks guys.

Yes, the Splash screen the one with the "Samsung Galaxy Note GT N-7000" logo and
the boot screen is the one with the animated Samsung logo.

Use the method from http://xdaforums.com/show...h+screen&pp=50
to replace the splash screen.

Yes, the Samsung logo can be replaced by another QMG file.

Yes, you need custom rom to use bootanimation.zip.

Since you have a rooted SGN you can verify for yourself by replacing those files in the system/media folder.

Thanks for the answer. How about using this method - http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1474753?
