I really appreciate your work bik2000.. thanx for sharing such a wonderful program with us all.... is there any way to integrate worldstarhiphoP.com into your program to add some more variety?.... if not wankspider.com or spankwire.com would be a nice addition Imo, I'm juss not sure which one would play fLV vidS with core player since I dread using the sluggish tcpmp....thanx again

Got a question.
When I was using WVD, I had no problem playing flv files on my TCPMP. For reasons I don't understand, I can't get them to open with the latest mVu.

Will the TCPMP-fix file I downloaded elsewhere on this thread open up mVu flv capabilities? Or should I just install the latest TCPMP player (from the same post I got the fix-file from)? (Whoever you are, thank you!!!) Or is this a fix that the next update may solve?

The flv files I am downloading are good. They play on my laptop. They just don't on my TCPMP player. 3gp files, from the one site where they are available, play perfectly on TCPMP.

Can you browse to the site with a web browser? For example, can you browse to http://www.tube8.com? Sounds like something is blocking the site...

Which site? If it's YouTube try one of the older flv formats. There are some links in earlier posts in this thread to a version of TCPMP that seems to work.

Strange. I haven't seen that myself and haven't heard of anyone else with that issue. What kind of device are you using? Which version of Windows Mobile?

I should have another new version out this week sometime. The major new piece will be enhancements to the download functionality with a preliminary download manager that will allow you to download multiple files at the same time. There will be some other minor fixes as well.

Thanks. I DL'ed that TCPMP version along with the fix file. After your next update, if I still have the flv issues, I'll give it a try. I'm slow to change because until now I've been happy with my current version of TCPMP. It took a lot of screwing around with add-ons and fixes to get it to its present form.

Which site (has the flv problems)? Actually, all of them. None of the flv Saves or Plays from mVu work with my WM6.1 Touch Pro -- except the Tube8 3GPs. Like I said, all the flv files from WVD and YouTubePlay (another downloader with an MP3-extract option built in) still play OK when I watch them and as DLs.

Also, I'm able to view all mVu downloads on my laptop, convert the file formats, send them back to my TP, and then play them from there.

I'll get it worked out eventually. I'm still really enthusiastic about your app and your ongoing dedication to improving it!

TCPMP suggestion please

The latest 7.3 version rocks. The Downloader additions are great. mVu has come a long way and I am ready to make it my dedicated viewer/downloader.

For full functionality though, I need to install a newer TCPMP player.
I downloaded and have files for:
TCPMP & Master Codec Pack 5 (Zero no-skins version)
TCPMP Tekla version
TCPMP-bimbam69-rmvb
And TCPMP-0.72RC2-ARM-WM6-latest

All seem to be the latest versions linked from this thread. Would anyone like to suggest the best one to install in my TP/WM6.1?

I understand that I need to uninstall my present player and remove the TCPMP entry from HKLM-Software in my registry. I am not a noob but I'm a long way from being an expert! I have the latest ffmpeg pack also DL'd but I'd prefer an all-in-one installation. Skins options not needed...

TIA.

    Thanks for the reply bik2000,

The application installs fine using the uncompressed CAB but when I open it it says "This application (mVu.exe) requires a newer version of the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework than the version installed on this device."

When I download the NETCFv35.Messages.EN.wm.cab it says its not a valid Windows CE setup file. So thats why I can't get it to work. Please can you help me?

I'm using a HP Ipaq hx2000 Intel PXA270 running Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition.

    Thanks

You need to install .NET Compact 3.5 Redistributable before you install the Messages cab you mentioned above.

You can get it from Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...49-3c6b-42f1-9fd9-0041345b3385&displaylang=en

    New Version - mVu - 1.0.10.9

I have just posted a new version (1.0.10.9).

This version has the following changes:
    • Fixed Pornhub
    • Removed Tnaflix

Tube8 seems to be working again without any changes. I removed Tnaflix because the site now requires login to download videos.

You can download the latest version at http://bik2000.appspot.com.

    New mVu Website

In preparation of the next release of mVu, I've also created a new website for mVu.

You can find the new site at http://bik2000.appspot.com.

I've already got some screenshots of the updated UI layout on there, as well as a list of some of the new features that you can expect in the next version.
