Looks like there's a new release on MIUI.US:

4.0.3-2.2.24 MD5: cf39d36b927a621e936cc6c5c4220dc9

Still broken:

USB Tethering
Hardware Accelerated Graphics
Themes
Static Wallpapers

MIUI 2.2.24 Changelog

Just thought I'd post it here, until OP has a chance to update the thread!
Hopefully I'll have time to try it out tonight!

Up to date

This thread is up to date and I want to add that Themes are working now with the exception of wallpaper.

The disable hardware acceleration prop set to true in build.prop doesn't take care of the wallpaper problem in miui ?

It's confusing, because there are two threads with the same name and same ROM, this one is updated by the developer but is a little slower to change after a new release. So no, there isn't really a new one today.

But the latest is 2.2.24, and the most recent after that is 2.2.10-a2.
So if you're on 2.2.24 you should be good.

I tried installing 2.2.24 but wifi doesn't turn on, just keeps saying turning on wifi... but never actually does. I saw someone else had the same question but no answers. I went back and forth from 2.10 to 2.24 several times even redownloading the from and wiping every time etc, but wifi never turns on for me in 2.24. It works fine in 2.10 though. Any ideas?

All you have to do reboot and it will work

Haha of course its that easy. Thank you. This time I couldn't gain root access even after changing the setting....I tried installing busy box and super user to no avail.

Kindle App

Quick stupid question. How does the Kindle App work on this ROM. I'm guessing you would install the APP version from the Market. The Kindle Launcher doesn't work on this or any other custom ROM does it?

Awesome

I just flashed this ROM last night and wow what an awesome ROM. I am still learning it and playing around, but so far very impressed. I know it is a different flavor of ICS, but it is very responsive. This is my first foray into ICS on my fire, but i am very happy so far. I will post my impressions as i get more into it.

But my kindle does not pop up when I connect it to my laptop

another thing is happend is can not turn wireless ON

To quote the developer's twitter page, "It's not abandoned. There really hasn't been any significant updates to ICS builds for the KF. I've been holding out for now. "

Did you restart your kindle? See if it fixes after a reboot.
