Z1 in the car

Hey guys i wanted to use my Z1 more often in the car, but in my opinion the normal Android environment is not good for a simple use, on my old HTC i got an carmode which was pretty awesome.
All apps i found in the appstore are pretty ugly...
Is there a good app?

I'm planning to do the same thing in my car.

This guy seems to have a much better 'car mode' with speed and everything but I don't know which app it is.

Currently have my Z1 attached to the vent using a Tetrax magnetic mount but might try something like this instead.
