From CazeW in another thread:

I've been extensively looking into if porting mdnie to the N10 is possible from a different device (in this case the Note 10.1) and I think it should be very possible. I've been comparing the mdnie implementation they've used on the Note 10.1 and Nexus S as they use different frame buffers (Note 10.1 uses S5P and Nexus S S3C). As I have no prior knowledge of frame buffers, I was surprised to find that S5P and S3C look pretty much the same on these two devices. As the drivers looked pretty much the same from Nexus S to Note 10.1, I think there's a chance they could work straight away (or with very slight modification) on the N10 which would mean that porting mdnie could possibly be (if we are lucky) as easy as copying over the drivers and changing in the config files.

If someone with more skill wants to take a look at this, the files you need in the Note 10.1 sources are located in drivers/video/samsung/ and they are
s3cfb.h
s3cfb_main.c
s3cfb_ops.c
s3cfb_fimd6x.c (not completely sure if this one is needed)
s3cfb_ielcd.c
s3cfb_ielcd.h
s3cfb_mdnie.c
lcdfreq.c
mdnie.c
mdnie.h
mdnie_tunning.c
mdnie_table.h

I would probably try doing this myself but something tells me that flashing a kernel with a frame buffer that might not work could cause me some headaches

Looks like those can be found in the sources for the Note 10.1?

Stickmount issue

Running Alpha 7 with Muzzy's ROM. Stickmount (pro) seems to mount the usb drive, but when i navigate to the folder it shows up as empty.

On my Nexus 7 with a similar setup i.e. Muzzy's rom with Alpha 3 it mounts properly ans shows the files. Any ideas? :(

Hey Morfic, were you able to take a look into the possibility of porting the mDNIe from the Note 10.1? ;)

So, I got a little impatient to try Trinity on CM and created an anykernel updater for T10-ALPHA7.

Running great so far, going to run it through its paces tonight when I get off of work.

Shoot me a PM and I can send you a link.

    TX2-4.3-ANY.zip

Early 4.3 kernel, runs great on factory image.

Just some basic configuring, build tweaks
cifs+utf8 added (remind me if there was something else needed for cifs (md4/md5 are defaults))
    sio, row added
    fsync control added
*NOT* touching cpu or gpu voltages yet, we'll do that later.
*NO* GPU OC yet, no touching memory frequencies, no touching busses

    A very basic kernel

    I haven't forgotten anyone.
New nightshift only schedule is something I'm still getting used to.
Once I'm back in the swing of things, all devices get some more love.
