XBMC FOR THE WIN Reply

I have see you have mod your XBoX 1 ;)

I have a 2TB hard disk insert in mine and many more mods :D

No way, that's amazing. Not too many people do that anymore. Are you a member over on the XBMC community forums? They just started up a new board a year or two back and got rid of the trolls and all the lousy administration :).

No, i have the most of mods only read on difference boards and the XBMC is a very easy softmod think so...
This i have made with my XBoX:
- TSOP Split into 2x 512KB (1. Bank Original XBOX firmware, 2. Bank EvoX Firmware) with switch
- Activity LEDs for LAN, CD Drive and Hard Drive
- Infrared Mod for universal remote and for turn on and off the xbox :D
- Silent Fan mod (very silent)
- Digital Audio out
- 720P mod
- 2TB Hard Drive

I love my XBoX it's a very cool entertain system :p

d-two, check if the transmitting power for the wifi isn't set too high, that's the reason why it may be getting too hot (and also wasting a lot of battery). I think that value is set in wpa-supplicant.conf but I'm not sure...

EDIT: actually looks like not; it's something specific to each wireless driver. Anyway, IMO either the problem is because of transmit power or power saving mode being incorrectly defined.

Awesome. Mine's just got a humble softmod and 80GB hard drive and external USB port, and that's where the modifications end.

"720p mod" - I didn't know it was a mod, I just plugged in component cables to get high def to work.

Phone doesn't seem to work very well... I tried to call my mobile phone (the BA is our "landline", it is in a Vodafone plan to act as landline), and while my Universal rang until I dismissed the call on it, the Phone app "stopped unexpectedly" and I had to force close. On the speakers I could hear the sound of an empty call (as well as some interference) even after I force closed the dialer.

After some time, a message with many numbers and letters appeared on the screen, but I didn't take note of it. I then reset the BA. I'm now going to test the wifi and the other features that for sure won't cause money to be charged...

EDIT: actually, it looks like the buzzing sound of the network is always present...
