Hi

I have a Incredible S stuck in HBOOT and cannot seem to get it restarted again.

I have spent nearly 3 days trying to resolve this but to no avail.

Can access CWM but get cant mount message as soon as I start, can't flash RUU as revolutionary prevents it, have no usb driver access so adb and fastboot is out of the question and after wiping caches and system, plus dalvik still nothing after trying to install a custom rom.

I either end up with Status 1 or 7.

So before I go and get this thing JTAGGED does anyone have a stock gingerbread backup for CWM I could have to try and resurrect this phone?

Anyone who could do this, I would be eternally grateful.

Thanks

Also when in HBOOT and have fastboot usb enabled RUU.exe stays at opening bootloader as phone has frozen.

At this stage it looks like a fried emmc chip, which jtag might not even fix. But of course its best to eliminate as many possibilities as you can. Running an ruu with revolutionary should be possible, but the problem would be that it would not boot up until the hboot was changed.

First think I would try is reflashing the cwm recovery, just to check if it can be done with no error. http://download.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.0-vivo.img

Edit: Are you in HK? Is it possible to claim warranty?

No im in uk so need to try and restore to stock or even if it dies via jtag could try warranty.

would cwm backup work? I have not got one but thought it could recreate a partition to get it started as phone does not go into HTC RuuBootloader only hboot
