Whatsapp can be downloaded from the store, listed in the alternative links, in the first post.

Search that site and it should come up. I recommend using here.com, rather then Google Maps.
HERE Maps is more respective of your privacy!!!

It seems to be somesort of firmware security kicking in, after it has realised the ROM has been modified. It is weird, it only starts after you have modified the ROM and then restart the phone once.

Still trying to figure out a bypass of somesort...

This is a fix for those who were facing usability problems due to the lack of a home-screen button.

Now using Pie Control, you can swipe at the left-hand side of the screen to bring up the options. Also, Dolphin Browser has replaced Google Chrome.

Version 1.9 will be coming before May 2014. ROM is NOW BETA.

So does it means home screen button working on 1.7 ?

Very cool, but is it possible to reinstal the 'Onscreen Buttons'? My fingers are not made für using Pie control.

Unfortunately, the on-screen buttons on this ROM Image are not working, namely the homescreen one, this is due to the ROM being heavily modified and some form of security function kicking in. This is why Pie Control was included. If you do not like Pie Control, I suggest you use an alternative like Button Saviour.

I was actually going to include Button Saviour as the button manager for this ROM but Pie Control is more sleeker. Button Saviour is more down your lane - go for it.

Further updates to this ROM will be before MAY 2014.
