this seems like an on going issue for almost a month now and there isnt any news from google or emergency patches regrading this issue on short term notice this will damage handset battery capacity if google refused to release a fix for this... although there are workaround on this issue I highly doubt the google service engineer does not know anything about this at all It seems like a very critical issue if you ask me..
