this seems like an on going issue for almost a month now and there isnt any news from google or emergency patches regrading this issue on short term notice this will damage handset battery capacity if google refused to release a fix for this... although there are workaround on this issue I highly doubt the google service engineer does not know anything about this at all It seems like a very critical issue if you ask me..:rolleyes:

if we as open source developer already feel so bad about it, what about normal smartphone users.. :(

Neither am I, its a service and yeah it runs allot in the background but it barely makes any difference.

I am pretty sure 5.0.84 is still borked. The wakelocks are the exact same as the time my device has been on. Almost 70% of the battery use is Play Services.

Same issue on two devises !
And 5.0.84 update don't fix that.
Already tried many suggestions, but nothing helps.
