Will test in the morning, ATM I'm gonna stay with Donut, until the camera is fixed for 2.* but root+recovery never hurts

Tattoo Root

I'm new on the root thing, and I want's to root my Tattoo and install
"fyodor FroYo" ROM. Last time I tried the 1 click root i got the error like "dom_b" and "Aimless06", and I havent tried it after that... Has anybody here "brickd" a tattoo with this??
I WANTS FROYO!!!

Any tips to me, I dont have money to buy a new one!

Error??

My phone dont finds Htc Sync but i can find it in ddms and the long nuber is there so i think it is al right, but i gets THIS Error!

Needs help (i dont have a goldcard, non branden phone)

Hello i have rooted my Tattoo succesfully, but when i start Titanium is shows the message: busybox works bu the "su"command does not elevate to root: "whoami"reports :whoami"unknown uid 100097"instead of root/uid 0. I think your Superuser Whitelist system app does not work. Anyone knows how to fix this? Thanks, Marvon

Small tip. All u having problems with doing the root or recovery getting permission denied or file do not exsist errors. Try to set up your HTC => PC connection as HTC sync and not as external storage device before running script.

This happens with the latest official ROM. I have the same problem at the moment as my phone has just come back from HTC for hardware repair.
Need to flash an RUU that allows 1 click root.

Problem is I don't have a link to one.

Can someone please provide a link to an RUU which will allow rooting?

Maybe the problem is with the tattoo-hack.co. If you have a rom with newer kernel version you will probably need a newer file too. Replace the tattoo-hack.co with this file and try to run the root proccess again.

For non branded HTC, a goldcard is always a good thing to do.
It can help you to unbrick your phone!

& already i have 2gb memory card ..........!!

Can anyone tell me if it is necessary to use a method with a goldcard?

Is it possible (now, since this is, I believe, an older method) just rooting it like some other HTC without a goldcard?

I've already try to find the answer, but searching all the post and stuff??? Think it would be best way to ask you guys..

Thanks a lot, rallapag... I assumed that that could be the answer, now I'm sure..

I would, also, like to ask you a few more questions since I'm new to Tatto rooting like I said (but I have a little experience with rooting a Desire)... Do I need to make a partition (for example ext4) for a ROM?

Can you also suggest a ROM (ICS, GB or FROYO) in which I can use blutooth and camera, since there is a looooot of ROMs? It would be really helpful...

Also I saw a rooting method with a single apk file [APP] [ROOT] 1-click root for Tattoo (Latest ver: 1.6.2 beta 5)? Seems to be the safest and also easiest of them all...

I appreciate your help...
