Ktoon kernel battery life is amazing. And of course due to this amazzzzing rom ive tried others all of them almost n this rom is the only one I got to run this great with this kernel

Thanks for your hard work! It's a great rom...until..
After running smooth for about a week, it just randomly got hot, rebooted and got stuck in a charge loop. It wouldn't charge the battery, and would just vibrate and die. Is this what you guys experienced?
Luckly i was able to boot into recovery. I wiped cache, dalvik cache, and fix permissions, and rebooted.
It's up and running now. But that was kinda scary.
I'm on RlS6, stock kernel, and whatever lockscreen that it started out with. I didn't install any new apps. And when i first flashed the rom it was a complete wipe with no restoring of backups.
I'll see if it does it again.
The lockscreen it comes with is the acer cloud, so you need to make sure that you uncheck ripple effect or you will have issues. RLS7 will addresshaving the wrong lockscreen on boot.
Yeah, i figured that was acer cloud. But i unchecked ripple effect immediately after the first place, so i never had lockscreen issues. This was just totally random hot reboot. It was charging through a printer usb port at the time, if that makes a difference. It got hot, wiped my battery out and got stuck in a charge loop. I've used that usb port to charge my other phones before...but I won't be using that usb port again.
The rom is fantastic though. Thanks again for your efforts, i'll be looking forward to RLS7. :good:

I am about to reflash and use the KT747 kernel. But before doing this, I notice that, while the battery life is pretty good (as in no complaints in general), the Android OS is the biggest battery drainer. Any ideas what could be causing the drain? I notice Google maps was active, so I killed it. I also love havig and using light manager, but also wonder if it could be the culprit. Does anyone have other suggestions?
Have you tried playing music over BT? Every kernel that I try other than Lean Kernel causes music to crackle when playing over BT. I would love to use this kernel but I can't get the crackling noise to stop.
I'm not having any screen touch sounds on rls6 I notice and I definitely have that checked. Anyone else experience this?

I'm enjoying this ROM and the only thing that I can't seem to resolve is that when going from the lock screen to the home screen there is a momentary flash of the original background wallpaper that is with the ROM then to my custom. I am using an app called Backgrounds ver 2.0.1.
Is this normal?

Have you tried in the AOSP gallery or note 2 gallery, it works fine for me.

I was getting random reboots when I was using the BlackBerry 10 lock screen with the ripple effect turned off. I am on the KT747 kernel. Went back to the Galaxy S3 lock screen and the random reboots stopped.

OK I did this and I got Wallet to work (well its running with my cards, I have not used it yet). But, when I change back to the original build.prop, I get an error msg saying that my device or network is not working or supported and it will not start Wallet. If I change the build.prop back to Galaxy Nexus, Yakju and Maguro Wallet will work again. Two things, 1) why am I getting the error msg and are there any problems if I leave my build.prop as Galaxy Nexus, Yakju and maguro?
I had Wallet running flawlessly on SynergyRom but I recently switched to Hyperdrive. I did NOT reset Wallet when I switched ROM's and got all sorts of problems that took me all day to fix. I had to revent back to Synergy and do a whole bunch of stuff but I got it back an running on Synergy. I then reset it within Wallet and went back to Hyperdrive and was able to install with the instructions above... I just can't restore the build prop and have Wallet still work. Any ideas?

FAQ
Q: Should I wipe before flashing this update?
A: You should always wipe between rom updates. No wipe, No gripes!
Q: Why's the rom file so big?
A: Since i have included a fully customizable aroma installer and full multicarrier, 4 custom themes and basically 4 rom styles, this increases the rom size a large bit. The base rom is about 500mb and the aroma installer is about 1gb
Q: What's the white line at the top of the screen?
A: This is the MIUI Battery Bar, accessable in Hyperdrive Control
Q: My screen won't turn off when i plug it into the charger!!?
A: You need to disable Screen Candy in Settings/Display!
Q: I'm getting terrible Battery life and drain, what gives with this rom??
A: I would say that 99% of the time bad battery life is user error. You need to check your cpu settings and also check out your battery stats. If you have any wakelocking apps that are waking your phone, you will get drain. Thus this is not the roms fault.
Q: The Aroma installer keeps freezing up on me?
A: Unfortunately this is an issue with the Aroma installer program, keep trying, just pull battery and reflash!
Q: The Note 2 keyboard swype doesn't work :..(?
A: Yes it does, you need to into settings/language and input/samsung keyboard settings icon and check swype. You also need to download the correct language for your phone!!
Q: My phone is freezing up after being in landscape mode and then i have to do a battery pull to unlock it??
A: Disable ripple effect when using custom lockscreen Remember however, for best stability i still recommend stock lockscreen.

A: You need to go into Settings/Hyperdrive Rom Control/ LED Settings and disable light manager and your LED will not spaz out.
Q: My model number is not right, help?
A: I changed to verizon s3 model number (SCH-I535) to the Verizon Note 2's (SCH-I605) in order for S Note To be Fully Working.

A: You need to go into your verizon account online and disable the backup assistant feature. Then these texts will stop!

A: You need to do a permissions fix in recovery. This should fix it!

A: Make sure Wifi is set to always keep wifi on during sleep under wifi settings/advanced
Q: My wifi is slow to connect, why could this be?
A: I changed the wifi scan interval in order to save battery, you can change it back yourself by using a build prop editor and looking for wifi.supplicant.scan.interval. The default value is 90.

Better Battery Life Tips :
- Disable auto sync for accounts
- Disable GPS (and wifi gps) when not in use
- Disable auto backup of Gmail account
- Set wifi sleep policy to "Never"
- Set brightness level to automatic
- Disable motion
- Check your apps settings and disable useless background sync
