What this is...a 2.2.1 port from the I9000 forums.

What I've done...Added Eugene's data fix. Added birgertime's Signal Bar fix. Added Overstock v1.5.1 kernel. Added S GPS files and haptic feedback on home key posted by Heathen. Added no mms in call logs thanks to Br1ck'dAdded KA7 modem. Replaced csc files.Changed build prop. Changed a few other files such as Wifi as well as other misc. minor non-operational changes.

For best results use wipe version!

Install working 100%. That means GPS SHOULD work out of the box, no need to flash any fixes. Flashed perfect for me.

How to install; Wait, wait, wait...tell me you made a backup. You did make a backup, right? For the love of all that's good tell me you made a backup!

- Download SimplyGalaxy2.8RemixFinal.zip and place on your internal sdcard.

- Reboot into recovery, choose install zip from sd. Choose the correct file. After it flashes reboot. DONE!

- Initial boot may take up to 5 minutes. This IS Normal.

- After about 10 minutes, you should reboot again to clean things up and wipe out any bugs.

Yeah I wanted to do Darkys but there was a little more to it and I was sure about a coupl file so I kept it simple for my first try. I think you'll like this though as it is based off of the Darky series of roms. Also the blacked out market is way cool. Overall it's a nice themed rom Black and blue with the cirle battery mod.

I flashed the original version from the galaxy s thread, flashed Eugene kernel and KB1 Modem and the service.jar fix from Eugene. Is there a difference if i flashed this one?

i think he's gonna try to add the GPS fix files as well. but i don't see any other difference if you've already flashed those other things.

No difference. I'm just taking out the extra steps of flashing the kernel and modem. Oh you may have to change out wifi files and the gps files.

I have wifi working just trying to get GPS up and running if not I'll upload without gps. I think we can find a flashable GPS fix.

Wifi and GPS are working. Just gonna do a quick test flashing the whole rom again. Should have a fully operational port up in 10 - 15 minutes.

Yeah it's one of the cooler ones over on the I9000 forums. Like I said I just wanted to remove a couple of steps for those might not otherwise dive in so to speak.
