I purchased phone on ebay for $149.99. I was supposed to receive the Star N9000 (i9220) but ended up with the ALPS F7100
They both appear to be Galaxy Note look alike but have lower resolution. Physically appears to be built well other than not knowing if it has Gorilla Glass, which I assume it does not.
This phone does not appear to be have T-mobile 3G Bands unlike what is stated in the Star N9000 that multiple people in Amazon state 3g with T-mobile which is contrary to what the box says. The back of the phone for SIM1 says GSM/CDMA but I'm unable to verify actual operating band. Further search on eBay turned up a N7100 that is aesthetically similar.
I have a 3g SIM, but I assume that I am doing something wrong or I am using wrong T-mobile service. i.e. maybe compatible with Straight Talk
This phone can be ROOTED with SuperOneClick, just as I as able to do last night.
Software appears to be very basic Android 4.1.1 without modifications.
Pressing Vol(-) + POWER gets you into some kind of Factory Test Mode
Pressing Vol(+) + POWER Gets you into Android System Recovery so Flashing Rom appears to be possible.
Below are Specs:
